Something is wrong here Mongu, BA do NOT offer Club class on UK Domestic flights at all. Try booking a MAN-IOM flight on ba.com and it is not available. I can only imagine you had a flexible economy ticket which showed up as C on the boarding class, and this will not give you entry into the lounge. I am 99.9% sure the only way to get lounge entry on any UK Domestic flight is to have a silver or gold card, as you can’t buy anything more substantial than an economy ticket on any of these routes.

I don’t think you can disagree though that it is an apalling use of resources!

Rather ironic that, bring across a 737 from LGW to LHR to cover capacity, fill that capacity with new aircraft, fail to relocate the 737 to LGW, and end up paying through the nose for a Titan one

Things have changed a little my end, so I might be able to attend after all, I will either be on the same EI flights as T5 and A330Crazy, or perhaps arriving a little later on an FR from LGW, it all depends if I can get to LHR that early in the morning!

1 737 is doing UK Domestic flights from LHR, alongside a Titan 737. Also an Iberia A320 is doing some of BA’s LHR-MAD flights. This all started a month or two ago, and capacity problems were cited as the reason, however since then they have acquired 4 new A321s, but still continue with these expensively leased aircraft

This is all very good news, although I am a touch sceptical over sustainability. FlyBe and Jet2 have all launched a huge number of new routes in the domestic market in the last few days, and I am not sure they can make money out of them all. Its going to be great news for us passengers in the short term, but I am a little concerned about the long term effects on the market/industry.

Nevertheless I am sure I will make good use of a number of these over the coming year!
