OK I kind of understand, your first post said if they required an external wash they had to go to Heathrow, I understood that as washing the outside of the aircraft in any way.
However they can wash the aircraft more thororughly at one of the maintenance bases, and not so thoroughougly at the other airports. Is that correct?

Ba no longer has a maintance base at Manchester ,it would require the aircraft to go to Heathrow for an external wash, this is part of it maintance , Glasgow are only allowed to do tech washes as they do not have the they facilities to cope with a wash bay in constant use, BA did apply at Glasgow to install a wash bay but where knocked back as BAA thought this might be a good idea for them selfs
Surely that would then mean that no BA or BACX plane ever gets washed at any airport other than LHR or LGW?

BA have expressed an “interest” in the A380, the 7E7 and the “Airbus rival to the 7E7” on several occassions, the latter two as a replacement for the 767 fleet. I doubt we shall see a decision for quite a while as BA is loathe to invest large sums of money at the moment due to its debt mountain.

BA1502 arrives MAN @ 05:55 and BA1503 departs MAN at 10:00. By my calculations that gives BA 4 hours 5 minutes to clean the plane 😉

They have a 732 and a 727 leased from a Middle Eastern or African company, and this 737 is owned by them, and has come from US Airways (AFAIK)
