However the usual once daily flight MAN-JER increases to about 6 daily on Saturdays due to the charters, which I think includes every type in the fleet?
Would have to be good ol’ BNWD, the first plane I ever flew on, LHR-NCE-LHR:

BFS to EWR in the BBC today as well, strong rumours from CO.

BA wise, Jersey is served from Manchester largely by the 146, although the entire based fleet often visits, from Bristol by the EMB 145, and from LGW by the 735. I don’t recall a time when 734s have operated in, as the capacity is never needed and I believe payload restrictions apply.
Manchester as a base is not going to dissapear, and any aircraft based there can make Jersey and the IOM. Bristol perhaps might close but then there is FlyBe and Aurigny. Gatwick is also not going to close, and whilst the 737 is being retired, there is nothing to stop the A319 going in from LGW.
As far as I can see there is no real threat to routes to the IOM or Jersey, as aircraft types reach the end of their lives new ones are produced to fill the gap in the market. Any gap that is not filled soon is, however I don’t think this situation exists at the moment.

Its not Aer Lingus’ policy to serve both SNN and DUB with one flight, its the result of the bilateral route restrictions between Ireland and the USA. I believe they are trying to scrap it though, as hardly anyone gets on at SNN apparently.
Odd, we had the WRC Eurocopter in Farnborough today
Do the letters WRC on the PC-12 indicate World Rally Championship, or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Designated owner/operator is Lions Air apparently…
Your more than welcome to tag along on the Saturday if you wish Matt 😉
Yeah inside is probably best, don’t forget it will be late November 😀
Its G-BUSK, you can tell be the nose cone.
There were 3 KLMs into NCL today, 1 from AMS used 971 as its number, which I assume is the usual one, and then there was 7143 from Rotterdam and 7145 from Amsterdam. Presumably Saturday charters.
LBARules, we fly up to MAN on Friday 26th, we will be about at MAN for a bit then, and I’m sure we could meet up for a short while?
Baby are however pulling LGW-ORK now.
