Always nice to find that out, I’ve only ever been able to discover my BA 757s to CDG.
If anyone knows how to trace GO regs from 2002, BA regs from 1990, or British International regs from 1997 give me a shout PLEASE 😀
Ah I see, Republic is the holding company, Chautauqua is the operating brand.
Just seen the reg is actualy reserved to Chautauqua Airlines, thought I hadn’t heard of Republic for a while 😉
Are you sure its Republic Airlines? Weren’t they a 757 operator in the states in the 80s?
Nice shots, EZDC is one of the ex Easyjet Swiss birds.
I believe that would be the inlet valve for the avionics cooling system! 😉
Well they look the same :p
Visible on A321s under the front door too.
The rumours are flying around regarding fleet operations. I have basically established that nothing is concrete and no-one really seems to know the whole truth 😉
The story regarding GB Airways is slightly twisted, BA have around 99 options with Airbus for the A3** series, and GB Airways will be taking 3 of these options. They are not taking the initial batch of 10 A321s designated for BA.
I think you’ve summed it up Matthew, its very poor performance in comparison to the 757.
BA 747 JFK – China? Doubtful, BA only serve MAN and LHR from JFK.
Whilst walking through terminal 1 at LHR to catch my flight to Lisbon I caught sight of one of Cyprus Airways A330s. These were brand new at the time, and so caught my attention for longer than normal, during which time I manged to walk head first into a pillar. I’ve never been quite the same since 😉
Nope, LIS was 747/757/767 all summer. 737s were used on the short EU routes, BRU, AMS, etc. My Dad was on the last one into LHR, from BRU 😉
Theres not a huge amount of competition in Nigeria, and those carriers that do exist are boycotted for safety reasons by many. The country is very rich oil wise also. Virgin already go to Port Harcourt and Lago, so some kind of connecting traffic of a high standard would be welcomed by the many westerners and Nigerians out there.
I can only see it lasting for a few weeks, it will be very awkward to sustain for long. The plan is also only for one 737.
Largely yes. Currently there is a Flightline 737 in doing the routes. I still don’t understand quite why they need this 737 from LGW considering the 321s start arriving next month?
And the latter giving an ETA of about 1600 this afternoon.
