Eurowings seems to be gradually dissapearing now. I noticed at FRA over the weekend that Eurowings have started to use the Lufthansa callsign.

Hmm, don’t like it too much, a bit too much excess white.

I don’t see the need for more CO expansion in the UK at all, and even if they did fail to see how it could really be viable in the long term, especially due to the fact that there are many countries that have not links at all.
Eastern Europe for example Warsaw and Budapest is where I reckon the next growth will be. Many of these countries have recently joined the EU, and with this their economies are going to be significantly boosted in the next year or so.

It is just a LH partner. Its kind of one step down from a franchise really, they take part in the LH frequent flyer progrmme, integrate flight times, and codesharing between Germnay and Italy.
However they fly a lot of scheduled and charter routes from Italy to many places outside of Germany.

The 762’s have all gone and the 763’s are being transferred to the domestic fleet and Australian Airlines as the A330’s are delivered

Coz in that configuration you can be sure as hell no-one else is going to want them! Who else operates a fleet of RR 767s apart from BA? (Who actualy own the Qantas ones anyway)

Well 3 sort of, Flyjetgreen was another incarnation of FreshAer, remember that fiasco?
From what I hear Aer Lingus are doing VERY well indeed, with high load factors and good margins coming from their recent revolution to no frills.
Whilst I’m not sure OneWorld are happy with this, at least there is an established airline making some money.
