They certified the 135, the 145 will not ever be certified.
HeHe! Haven’t heard such rubbish in ages! Someone is seriously pulling your leg!
Give me one good reason why the 727 would be reintroduced over the continuing production of the more modern 757?
Luxair have no ERJ135s, only 145s which can’t operate into LCY.
Going to bother justifying that bald statement?
Very well said Hamtech. The bull**** that gets published sometimes
Agree with everything there Mongu except for the mainline out of MAN bit. BA mainline only operate out of LHR and LGW, the biggest plane at MAN (excluding the 767 that goes to JFK) is an RJ100. At the moment I believe some flights do operate with the ERJ though?
Not really, this sort of thing happens regularly everywhere as Hamtech says.
BORING
According to Jethros its just 1 757, with another due in February. Presumably what Sandy has just shown us.
The 757s are being replaced with A321s this Winter, the older 744s also need replacing soon as some of them are very old, as does the 767 fleet which is not nice.
The 744s will probably be replaced with 773s, and the 767s with 7E7s, although if Airbus launch a contender for the 7E7 (An A300/A310 replacement) then that could see BA getting those. I don’t think the A330s are quite what they are looking for.
As for the A380 I don’t think there are many routes that even fill a 744, so an A380 would be ridiculous.
Germanwings are also starting CGN-LGW, and Air Berlin are axing their Dortmund service to STN too.
We had a similar problem in our Dash 8 Q400 back from BHD in December. Whilst the flight was really empty, the cabin crew had to re check the boarding passes of everybody as some people had sat in the wrong seats
Trim settings were the reason given to us, which I assume is the same thing as Moondance is getting at?
You need to pardon my litte friend he is a touch deranged. 🙁
We experienced a few of the fun roads on the route to Douglas, but obviously not as exciting as your one. Hope your alright mate, sounded pretty bad 🙁
As for the flights they all seemed pretty full to me, and as for the link up with the channel islands its pretty essential given the identical nature of business thats conducted in the two locations.
Yes it wasn’t particularly exciting, but the main focus was on the ATP for some strange reason.
To be honest I went through security at Ronaldsway the quickest I have ever done, as there were 3 guards there for just me!
Airport was very good for a regional one of its size, however like Elgan, was very surprised with the number of movements.
Full credit to my travel companion Elgan for these as I didn’t bring my camera.
