3 ATP’s have been earmarked for Loganair. They are being repainted into Union Flag colours for this, so it seems that Loganair are retaining their BA franchise.
G-MANE/F/L are the 3 being relocated.
Whilst the terminal changes might look good on paper it couldn’t come at a worse time. The heathrow ground controllers are getting very irate with the situation on the South side where congestion and delays are rife. Whilst Saab, you mentioned the switching of 2 long haul services to T1, 5+ short haul services are being moved over to T4, thereby actualy increasing the movements and congestion!
I don’t know what BA or BAA are playing at?
I fly for BA Virtual http://www.bavirtual.co.uk and I’m the regional jet fleet training captain there. I also fly a bit for Aurigny virtual http://www.aurignyvirtual.co.uk
The Westray – Papa Westray flight covers a distance of approx. 2 miles, and this holds the world record for the shortest scheduled commercial flight. BA schedule it as 2 minutes, although it has clocked 1 minute before.
A very good idea, but just think how many other people will have the same idea 😮
We’d need specific Lat Long coordinates to find each other!
Thanks
Yeah it was a lot lower, but usualy the Barbados flights call BAW272.
Ah right OK thanks. We were so mesmerized by the new colour scheme that we didn’t look to identify the actual type of aircraft!
I’ve never seen so many SP’s in my life!
Unfortunatley no pictures, I’ve yet to delve into that side of the hobby yet!
Yes, it can only be a good thing for passengers, although Malcolm Hart’s words did worry me a bit. However paying £40 as the minimum fare inter island with Aurigny is a bit excessive, I don’t know quite how much the highest fare they offer is though?
I don’t think they employ people in their customer service department anymore, just a computer that sends out a standard message whenever anything is sent to a specific email address. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sane resposne when sending an email to BA or BAA for that matter!
BMI often run A321’s into Belfast City
The offer on BA.com is a competition, but only if you have bought a club ticket.
The Air Canada A340’s are just as frequent visitors to LHR as the A330’s and much more frequent than the 747’s in my experience.
Last time I was at heathrow there were 3 A340’s on the ground and nothing else!
According to Jethros, from the wording, it appears that the entire loganair fleet is going to be removed from the franchise. Last time it clearly stated just the islanders, but it has beem reworded to say in the notes section:
BRITISH AIRWAYS FRANCHISE OPERATOR
TO COME OUT OF BRITISH AIRWAYS FRANCHISE NOV 03
Minor contradiction to what Ren Frew was told!
