Another great shot of that G5 Tom, I think it divides its time between BHX and CVT, just for interest it arrived earlier today from LAX via a place called Boca Raton! I think its owned by one of the local manufacturing firms?

And finally, I just couldnt resist grabbing a shot of this special Malaysian scheme, framed nicely by a South African A340-600:

This seems to be the 1st shot anywhere of C-GFAH in the new colours:

Interesing report and pictures, shame about the dirty windows. Out of interest how much was it to fly the route with the stop in ORK? I might have to try that one day.

So would I be right in saying that the A330 would be both bmi and Aer Lingus’ flagship? In EI’s case would it be the A332 or the A333?

    Yeah I guess so.

Its usually the most prestigious. Concorde was obviously the flagship of the BA and Concorde fleet. It stems from Nautical use whereby there would be one ship particularly larger, more powerful, more lethal than the others that made it stand out.

Nowadays in aviation it tends to get used to describe a particular fleet of aircraft as opposed to an individual one, but many people argued that G-BOAC was BA’s flagship Concorde because of the significance of the registration to the predecessor airline.

I would be very worried if it wasnt up in the air by now, even after all the false starts this week. If not then it would most likely prove A1 doesnt have any money if nothing else. I imagine there is a fair amount of money available to charter a PA31 for a few weeks, whether or not a sustainable business can be operated I am not too sure

PYN is Haverfordwest Air Charter Services, who have 2 PA31s, G-BVYF and G-UMMI so I assume its one of these hes got at the moment. I assume K9 is the IATA code they have had to quickly adopt in the last few days in order to operate scheduled services.

Can be paid during the booking process or on the day.

Rather an odd route for them but no reason why they can’t. Anyone else reckon this may actually be a charter Air Scotland are just selling extra seats on?

Looks like they just haven’t finished loading the schedules, as half the UK airports are down to a single daily rotation.

The 2 main aircraft used for extraordinary rendition are:

    N44982 Gulfstream 5 cn: 581 ex N581GV/N379P/N8068V

    N4476S Boeing 737 BBJ cn: 33010 ex N313P

There are also many other aircraft used, including a number of C130s, a Twin Otter, and a Dash 8. This info is extremely well known, and only marginally more detailed than has previously been mentioned in various newspaper articles.

He is getting incredibly desperate. Its very unfair that A1 cite “maintenance delays” as the reason for the hold up.
