Sounds like the company who provides the Jetstream (G-CCPW) have pulled out of the operation due to further delays. We’ll probably hear more in the morning with the official announcement.
I’m not surprised, there is a thick band of smoke quite high over us right now. Just looks like a snow cloud apart from the fact it stinks.

Very bad news indeed. As well as the family of the little boy that died I also feel for the pilots of the aircraft who must be going through a similarly traumatic time having to live with their actions, whatever the cause of the crash 🙁
Nope, didn’t arrive today to the best of my knowledge.
Why dont Qatar operate this service in this own right with a BD codeshare? Would make far more sense
They are. The aircraft and crew are being provided by Qatar, bmi just get to sell seats on it. bmi are just making it out to be a much bigger deal than it actualy is.
I read that as bmi wet leasing a Qatar aircraft, but its not worded very clearly.
Looks like Aer Arann are starting CWL-BHD and CWL-DUB and not Air Wales.
Well this isn’t going to last much longer in Commercial so I might as well say what I’m thinking.
As soon as I saw the way the report was written, with the immediate focus on the fact that the man “reached into the bag that the bomb was supposedly in” my mind went “Stockwell”. Like then, now it appears that it was just a man who hadnt been taking his medication. As with Stockwell we still dont know the full facts yet, but it looks like another innocent victim of the security we all now have to face up to 🙁
BBC London Reporting that BAA is switching the runways to Mixed-mode operations as opposed to the current system of one runway landing the other for take offs switching at 3,
Apparently this will result in 1000 extra flights per week, but people are now lobbying for its complete closure
EDIT – I agree, they really need to relocate to an empty area and start again,
Complete closure? Of Heathrow? You really do just need to throttle some people…
Mixed Mode has been a long time coming for Heathrow, I’m not sure how long we will have to wait for it to be fully implemented, and more importantly/interestingly new slots to be allocated.
Yeah, I did say “almost entirely”. Its Airbus fleet stands at 29, its 757 fleet 7. It actually has more MD80s (9) than 757s which I didnt realise.
BGO? You sure? Bergen is rather an odd choice.
I assume you mean Milan Bergamo (BGY) ?
Why have they ordered the A343 as I was under the impression that the A34X was dying because it couldn’t live up to the rival B777,
Unexpected about the A359, great for airbus, but I really prefer the B787,
The A340 is still selling well, it would be odd for Finnair to go Boeing, considering their short haul fleet is almost entirely Airbus.
Wozza, in reality it is quite unusual for both engines to produce identical read outs, you have to remember they are two independent units, each capable of developing different faults etc so what you are seeing is quite realistic.
More advanced packages like the LDS 767 model this very well, both engines always give slightly different readouts.
