    I’m trying to dig out the leaflet the Northern Ireland Travel Advisory Group (or something like that) gave me about 5 copies of that details the amounts of compensation allowed, but cant find one at the moment.

    Needless to say they can expect a significant amount of compensation from that incident, however possibly not enough to cover the cost of hiring a bus.

    MAN seems to be getting badly hit just lately, it was last Monday when LBA got so many diverts! The weather has been pretty crap (well good) round here, fair bit of snow/sleet, and was quite foggy up at LBA as well.

    Fog? Snow? Sleet? Not in the city anyway! Shows how much of a difference that 600ft makes!

    It just doesn’t make sense.

    Indeed it doesnt make much sense, but the people at anet must have had very compelling reasons to do it.

    Tanzania, not exactly the capital but its the main commercial city, a bit like Lagos in Nigeria although more confused!

    Belfast City was another one that was quite notorious for photography, but recently I’ve not had any problems shooting from the cafe. Indeed a few months ago the ground staff let us stand at the gate for a few minutes after disembarking to watch the bmi A321 land from LHR!

    It seems to vary from operator to operator doesnt it David? All the BA from LGW that use alphanumerics as callsigns have their ACARS set to Flight Number, yet FCA who use Alphanumerics set the Alphanumeric callsign to the ACARS :rolleyes:

    1L, thats my understanding of the plan, however the exact 4 short haul aircraft to be converted to Long Haul config does seem to be changing quite a bit with numerous combinations suggested to me by various people. 4 SH to LH does seem to be confirmed though.

    As previously discussed, your aircraft might not have been fitted with ACARS, and from the looks of things it appears it wasn’t, as putting DP2606 or DP2607 into the flight number section doesnt produce anything 🙁

    I think usually its an option at purchase, and is rarely exercised as an addon further down the line. This will cause discrepencies with fleets such as FCA where aircraft have been acquired from different operators, unlike BA who have had ACARS fitted factory new.
