This is the new PSS777 panel, its quite an impressive one. Note the weather radar imprints at the top of the MFD:

Rather similar to my last shot I admit, but with the added benefit of Activesky weather, which I decided to buy today after SB3 made a pathetic attempt at rendering todays wx at LHR.

Passing over the Black Sea en route to Kuwait:

A few Ryanairs coming in from LPL as well, the LBA newsgroup is up to its old tricks and I cant post there again.

The Londonderry flight made it into Manchester I think.

I’ve managed to get a couple of pretty poor pics from my flat, I saw the Saudi C130 just as I was getting up which was nice, but sadly no chance of a photo!

In the press conference yesterday someone asked the question about vests. The response was that whilst there are stronger vests than the ones used by officers on the beat, these are specialist vests, and cannot be used routinely because of their weight. I have worn one before and they are extremely heavy, you certainly couldnt run in one.

I think that is was rebuilt after the accident. The accident was 29/04/2001 and the new registered owners Denmex Pty Ltd and Budbay Pty Ltd registered the aircraft 07/03/2005, so 4 years is plenty of time for a rebuild assuming the damage wasnt too bad.

However you would assume a pilotless landing would be a write off!
