This news item is a perfect exampe that the EU sucks big time.
The EU is a waste of time and money the UK should ditch it right away, if it was put to a vote i would say OUT.

“Social integration be damned, if followers of Islam want to live in the UK then they can jolly well live by the law of the land and like it, if they don’t want to then go and live in Saudi Arabia. :mad”

couldn’t agree more if you want to live in this country and reap the benifits
abide by the UK laws and customs if that dosn’t suit you go elsewhere.

I only hope they do not muck around with the cars as in the Gone in 60 seconds remake [that was no eleanor!!]
As long as they keep the Mustang and the Charger the same and at least try to get a decent actor to reprise Mr Mcqueens role then ok.
What am i thinking IMHO this will be a Hollywoodland moneymaking piece of cr@p

And Die Hard II – you know, the one at the airport. The simple premise is that all power has been cut to the control tower so they can’t speak to the circling aircraft. “if only there was some way to talk to those airplanes” somebody says. There is. Go downstairs to any aircraft parked outside, switch it on and use its radios.

I could be wrong [i will check my daughters copy] but i think you will find that mention is made that the villians are listining in on the radio frequencys to prevent the good guy’s doing that.
BTW do C-123’s have ejector seats?

As far as i can see from what has been said so far, and i have no idea how accurate any of the comments are from either side, it is quite simple.
Regardless of wether the museum or the City of Calgary owns the Mossie they have to follow the rules as laid out. It doesn’t matter wether the rules were followed on a previous sale that was then and this is now.
If the rules are followed and the mossie ends up leaving Canada and going to another country, then as long as it is preserved alll is well. Also if after following the rules it ends up staying in Calgary or another Canadian musuem as long as it is preserved to the best ability of whoever is charged with its care then that is ok too.Preserving the mossie for as long as possible for future generations is what matters,if it takes years to restore due to musuem finances to static or flying state then at least it is still preserved for the future.
At the end of the day wild speculation with out knowledge of all the facts will not stop it fom leaving Canada or hasten its depature.
As far as i am concerned as long as it exists its got a chance for the future.

IMHO if it looks like a Hurricane, sounds like a Hurricane and flies like a Hurricane, it IS a Hurricane.
Any Aircraft flown continuosly since being built in the 1940’s would probably have many things renewed by now. I would still consider it to be original. The fact that most are left lying around to be rediscovered, restored and reflown is a blip in their flying life.

    i’ll get me coat
