I agree that some people are getting behind Mclaren because they are seen as the good ol British guys vs them italians.I think they were wrong to keep quite about having the info even if they didnt actually go and steal it [it was after all given to one of theirs by Stepney].
I still think Ferrari should be careful about accusing other teams of wrong doing considering some of the questioable tactics they have used over the years.
I will admit at the end of the day i have never liked Ferrari ever since the so called God Schuey started with them, i also think the Hamilton equation comes in to the mix a bit as he is stealing the limelight from a lot of established teams and drivers, not least he’s team mate.
In my humble opinion they should keep the arguing behind the scenes and concentrate on the racing which is why the majority of people, myself included watch F1 for.

    Overnight Cat

Just been looking at the airport webcams it appears that G-PBYA is parked on the ramp behind the RAF Tucanos . Does the cat often pitch up the night before at UK airshows?

I would Agree with Denis and Top gun Regect most modern airliners all look the same, it’s only the liveries which make them shine. Wheras most anything with a prop was interesting, graceful or just plain weird to get your attention.

I posted this on another thread but after reading this thread i guess it belongs here.

I have one vivid memory of seeing the Vulcan,
My wife and i took our six-month old daughter [she’s noe 18!] with us to an airshow, i think it was at North weald one of the fighter meets. As she lay asleep in her buggy the vulcan carried out it’s display seemingly right over our heads. At one point it appeared to hang in front of us pointing to the sky engines howling and that big delta wing blocking out the sky, awesome!!.
Did my daughter wake or cry out no, but you try to get her to go to sleep in her cot at home and any creak of a floorboard and bang shes awake, Happy Days.

Just watched 12’oclock high again, was suprised at how little actual flying simulated or otherwise is depicted in the film. Most of the tension and emotion is shown through the effects to the crews of the missions .

When you did see aircraft three were quite well depicted
    Picadilly Lady
    Fuzzy Fuzz [i think]
and of course The leper colony
were these [as i suspect ficticious bombers] or did they really exist as such.
More importantly do any of the B-17’s used in the film still exist?.
Still a great film to watch

I will have to watch 12’oclock high again, i was sure it was the one that had the low flying B-17, but my memory has proved to be {very} dodgy before!

    Thank you

Yep thats the one i knew it would be an obvious one. I havent seen this film in ages [even though i have a dvd copy!!].It is a film that gets mentioned a lot due to the low flying B-17 but the rest gets muddled up with other films in my adled brain
    Cheers
