I’d point out one thing…the video shows Russian systems…note the “Guards” badge next to vehicle 931…that isn’t put on factory systems, training systems or those that are destined for foreign inventories, that’s a line unit in the Russian Armed Forces. Nice video, though, but just like the initial videos of Chinese FLANKER (which were broadcast on Chinese TV but turned out to be the Sukhoi design bureau videos that you could buy at airshows), these are likely promo vids from the system design bureau.

And by the way, the drawing of the Iranian J-10 is nice, but the markings are wrong: should be IRIAF, not IRAF. It’s the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force…

From yesterday near Perm in Russia…the Lead Russian MiG-29 “Swifts” demo Pilot, LtCol Dyatel, and navigator, LtCol Kurilenko, were rotating on takeoff when they apparently sucked in a bird…ejected ok, Kurilenko broke a leg, jet was of course, a total write-off…MiG-29UB bort #1, attached are pics, one from when it was healthy, the other from the crash location…
