On the contrary, Bumble, the yearning does eventually disappear – especially if you keep away from those nasty people who do it in your presence (after all, they can’t do it in many public places, apart from the great outdoors.

Besides which, think about the prospect of living long and prospering (paraphrase!) – literally ‘costs a packet!’ nowadays.;)

    Good luck in your attempt!

Crushed walnut shells were used on RAF c-130 engines when I was a lad!

I know of one instance where the hopper was filled with ‘sorbsil’ oil absorbent (chicken-sh£t to some) by a slack sod who couldn’t read the packet (not me!).
Didn’t get the chance to read the findings of the Board of Enquiry.

“As for other carriers – if a passengers pay for a seat that reclines, seems entirely reasonable to me that any customer who wants to should use it.”

And they should be made to place them upright during meals services so that passengers may eat in reasonable  comfort!

60 quid of that was mine, moggy!

6 emps over the limit, facing open countryside at 08:00 on a clear, dry, Saturday morning – not trying to overtake either!

Paid the man – went on the ‘driver awareness course’ in lieu of the 3-points.
Never been done before, but guilty in the inflexible eyes of the device (never saw it, honest guv!).

That ‘modern’ dzus tool didn’t work very well in 1964 either, bas (or at any time, I suspect) unless it was operated by using it gripped between the jaws of pliers or similar.

    Nice set there, Elliott!
Especially like the aberration/facial displacement 😮 of the bystander in the second SU-29 shot.

The thing I was always told was that only those too lazy to find the correct size of spanner use an adjustable.

Unless you were there at the time, you wouldn’t believe that when I was working on a C-130 acceptance team, we were issued with adjustable spanners by the RAF – the reason being IIRC was that the Americans could not provide a comprehensive spanner-size list for tool scaling purposes (and there were a lot of in-betweens ).
Needless to say, our brand new aircraft had a few ’rounded corners’.

WRT to in flight service, IMHO most of the U.S. airlines suffer from far too many 67 year old flight attendants…..:)

Opportunity to ‘grab a granny’ though:D
Seriously, travel AA if you don’t plan to check in hold baggage – they have been known to lose SOME in the past.
