[QUOTE=DaveF68;2077230]Interesting – a lot of them are ‘official’ photos (Tigercat for example) which does make you wonder about their ‘right’ to sell copies.

This is quite common, it happens with major image libraries. Although many images are in the ‘public domain’ they charge a fee for supplying a print (this comes without their watermark).

A bit naughty – after all, how did they come by the image in the first place?

    Useful link, Charlie.

However, beware the statement given in the warnings: “… As long as the plane is in the air, you can take all the time you need to work out the rest.” Really??

Fuel is a finite resource – especially when constrained by the capacity of the on-board fuel tanks.

Not a bad landing for a first-ever attempt, though – well done that man!

Thanks, grizzly – that was really worth seeing again!

Brave men, those PR pilots. They never got the recognition they deserved.

    Brilliant pictures, Martin!

My favourite is the second Hurri shot. Thanks for posting 🙂

Looks like Cottesmore, with the parked Victors in the background on the two Victor shots (unless somebody knows differently!)

Doesn’t mean they will all look like that (read between the lines!):

Thomas Cook said in a statement that “the intention isn’t to rebrand all with the sunny heart, but they form part of the group architecture and will, in most cases, carry the heart as some part of their logo”.

“… and will, in most cases… etc”

Could be just a sticker, then.

    (Still looks naff, though! :dev2:)

Lincoln: “Ahhh, the stories I could tell.”

Go on then, Jim, spill the beans!! (but not down your cardy!).

My cousin was a motorway patrol ‘person’ – he has a veritable “War and Peace” volume of motoring stories about reps, boy racers, Ferraris more than twice over, etc, from his time in the ‘company’ Granada/Volvo.

Be interesting to read some edited highlights from my Lincolnshire friend!

The Peugeot 405 1.9 diesel hatchback was lovely but at 180,000 miles the body work and electrics gave up.My friend uses it off road with the towbar to tow his stuff around his yard.

My 405 GTX made it to around 180,000 too! I suspect they all expire around that mileage – unless other forumites know otherwise (there’s bound to be at least one, surely?).

The worst car I ever owned was a Triumph Herald. Only kept it for three months, mainly down to poor electrics (3 dynamos and 2 regulators changed under warranty), both door latches failed, front wheel bearing failed, and water came in through the foot-well if passing along a puddled road (plenty of those where I lived!). The handling was ‘interesting’, with its swing axle rear suspenders, and it had an amazingly small turning circle: I bought it because…. ??
