625 Squadron

I am researching the loss of Lancaster PB126 ‘T’ of this squadron shot down on the night of 30th June/1st July after successfully attacking the railway yards at Veirzon in France.

I have narrowed the attacker down to a JU88C flown by either Hptm Heinz-Horst Hissbach of 5/NJG 2 or Oblt Franz Brinkhaus of 6/NJG 2 Is there anyone who could tell me which of these gentlemen was likely to have the victor on this occasion.

I am also interested in this as my great uncle whose name is John Ash was on this airplane. He was the wireless operator/airgunner. I have also been trying to find out who shot down his airoplane. Have you by any chance found out who shot it down yet?
