Is it better than Mech Warrior 4? I tried that game, and just found it boring. Well since were on the subject of bringing up good games, Id like to say that Ive just started Hidden and Dangerous, and its very realistic, and has very high quality graphics. It uses an unconventional keyboard layout, but other than that, its very challenging and takes real world strategy to win. I also like Snowboard Championship 2004, very beautiful graphics. But its almost impossible to do tricks with the control interface which unlock levels, so you have to download a crack to open up all the levels to enjoy this game. May not be much for you console gamers, but as a pc only gamer, a appreciate this one.

Highly doubtful. Its true that the greeks traded in Britain, but there is no evidence of any major civilization existsting in Britain for anytime that the Greek “empire” existed (aprox 800 bc to 300 bc). Just another attept by Brits to draw a link between themselves and Greece and deny they were merely decended from Celtic and Germanic barbarians. It should be mentioned though the Iberian celts were sought after by Greeks and Carthaginians as mercenary foot infantry

Phantom- I also want to reemphasize that this sim does have what appears to be a very good collection of combat jets all done in realistic, high graphic quality. But if the game doesnt have proper flight physics, then is just a collection of nice 3D models to look at. So if this game was ever ported to pc and had the flight physics redone, then you would have a truely awesome sim. I think thats the point everyones trying to make on this thread.

I wouldnt say that Libya was unexplored during Platos time. The Carthaginians certainly had a strong presence in that area. Infact about 100 years after Platos time, all of nothern Africa became the bread basket of the Roman Empire. The problem is that some historians of Greece liked to intertwine facts with fantasy, such as the Iliad and the legend of Troy.

No Im talking about LOMAC, I havent played AFDS. And I recall the bogey being a Mig-27, but Im not absolutely sure. I just thought it was really strange that this Mig-27 was running circles around my Mig-29 when everyone says the flight physics are so realistic.

BTW, your were mentioning LOMAC. Ive only tried the quick flight sofar, and found I was unable to pull in behind a Mig-27 with a mig-29 at any speed. That doesnt seem very realistic to me. I had the Mig-27 on padlock and could see it pulling unnaturally tight manuervers. Does anyone agree on this?

I will say the graphic quality looks very good, and looks like it could be ported into a good pc sim, much better than that Strike Fighters disaster.

    thanks for the info plawolf.

It should also be mentioned that for anyone that has a low spec computer, counterstrike will run just fine on a 400 mhz with on board graphics. Theyve done a really clever job texturing and animating this game, so you would almost never guess it has low poly graphics.

google- The only thing that makes the the G-36 looks distictive is the handle/sight frame on top. If you were to remove that at put a scope on it, you would be hardpressed to tell the difference between the SG-1

They do make a XBox version of counterstrike btw.

Im actually not that knowledgable of the technical details behind CS, so can anyone explain what all this steam thing does? I understand its just supposed to update counterstrike automatically, but the installer alone is 350 mb. Does it really change the gameplay of CS that much, because I like CS as is. Also can anyone tell me how difficult it is to run servers, because alot of servers seem highly modified. Do all the new maps come with steam?
