Nothing new Primer. The last election for New York Govenor had radio personality Howard Stern running for office. Howard Stern is basically Beavis and Butthead incarnate. He was a serious contendor, but couldnt follow through with his candidacy only because he refused to disclose his personal income.

    RE: Home-cooking

This is going to sound rediculasly simple as KabirT cooked water, but it really is unknown, pan fried chicken. Yes, thats it, just chicken, nothing else, no oil, butter, spices, nothing. People dont realize chicken has a very oily meat. If you fry it, all that oil comes out and makes a very rich flavored frying oil. When people try it, I swear theyll ask what herbs you used to cook it.

    RE: Sigh…..Geforce, yet again…….

    PhantomII-
Well said Vortex. As usual, Geforce is starting out with his crap again. When will you wake up Geforce?

The fact is that the US has killed thousands of iraqis with their sactions, when will you wake up PhantomII? If a country was oppressing the US and violating our human rights, you know you would want to fight back. The point is not being happy about people being killed, the point is that the US will not admit their doing wrong, even here on this forum, you wont face this, and this ignoring of guilt by putting yourself and the US above others with a false moral standard.

And Primer, as an American I was rather offended by your post. Y ou made it seem as if “America getting what they deserved” was the only thing that mattered. I sincerely hope you will rethink the way you phrase things in the future because although you claim you didn’t mean anything by it, your post was horribly sadistic and it sickened me to read it.

I was offended also only that someone would be happy to see people die. But what I think he really meant is that the US seems to think they can control, harm and kill other countrys, and that there not wrong for it. The thread “why we should bomb iraq” shows americans are looking for an excuse to kill right now. Bush and his aids have been “feeling the water” by dropping criptic remarks like ” something needs to be done about hussein” to gage world reaction over posible military action. This kind of action is going to get the US in deep trouble.

And kfadrat, what exactly do you mean by “framed”. Nobody framed Arabs for doing it, but it was a certain group of Arabs that did do it. And who said anything about nuclear weapons? If you thought nuclear weapons were going to be thrown anywhere you are sorely mistaken.

The arabs have a justifyable fear about how the US was going to retaliate

    RE: laptops

Thanks Ben for getting my thread off to a ripping start! However you do address a viable point about laptops, and thats that you have to pick a brand that has good servicing. Japaneese laptops like Toshiba and Sony are good, but if the thing breaks, they wont fix it, and your stuck with an expensive piece of junk. Thats why here in the US, its good to buy brands like Dell, who have the best servicing you can get, and make sure you have a good warrentee for your laptop. Thats why Ive started this thread, is that Im curious what the options are for brands and servicing in other countrys. For example Ive heard theres a brand in holland called tulip computers thats really good. And Ben, as far as sticking with a desktop, you ought to check the specs on laptops such as winbook who offer P4 2.4 processors, 512mb DDR RAM, SXGA screen, 64mb DDR video memory, 4 USB ports, firewire port, the list goes on. A set up like that can handle any kind of gaming, and the screen on a laptop is alot better on the eyes than a CRT monitor. Let me tell you, I dont like being chained to a desk for my internet experience. And when wireless networks like ricochet become more common and well known, then there will be no reason at all to be stuck at home for internet.
