    RE: Merkava IV unveiled today

Ive wondered that myself Garry, dont artillery all use rifled barrels? You would think that most countrys would stick with shaped charge warheads, especially since you have all these muliple charge rounds to deactivate active armour. I would think that high velocity saboted rounds lose their effectiveness at greater range in both velocity and accuraccy.

    RE: Digital camaras

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-06-02 AT 02:23 AM (GMT)]Warning on what Vortex says, a 3 megapixal camera comes with alot of bells and wistles that can be a hassle to deal with. These cameras can be quite bulky also. The DC1300 is about the size of a pack of cigerates and weighs 2.2 oz- since theres about 28 grams in an ounce thats a little over 60 grams.

BTW-I think fujifilm hold the current record for highest megapixels in a camera currently on the market-12 megapixels

    RE: Digital camaras

I recomend getting just a 1 megapixal camera which is the most you want if you want to post stuff on the web or just like taking alot of snapshots. Digital cameras have become just unbelievable in features and low price over what they were just a year or two ago. I recomend the BenQ (formerly Acer) DC1300. This camera is 1.3 Mpxl, weighs 2.2 oz, costs $87 and is able to take video and record .wav audio.

    RE: Political leaders

Heres an obvious one: Fidel Castro- biggest bafoon of the 20th and 21st centurys. He got huge support from USSR during cold war simply for being a communist country a couple hundred miles off US shore. I cant really figure how the cuban people are still eating up his “revolutionary” babble and anti-US oppression doctrine even now while their country has gone back to the stone age. I dont have a problem with countrys being socialist or even communist if thats what they want, but to still blame everything on the US? Sorry, theyve created there own mess.

    RE: Caos in Spain

Normally in computer technology, higher bandwidth means better quality data transmission. This isnt quite the case for wireless technology. First off higher radio frequencys nessesary for high bandwidth dont carry as far as lower long wave frequencys. Also a high amount of compression is required for even conventional digital cellular wireless. Super highspeed swithching is required in ultra high data rates in the newer ultra high bandwidth formats. Europe mostly uses GSM which I believe they are trying to make there universal standard. Here in the US we have some GSM as well as some other formats that are out there on the bleeding edge of technology. Japan has a wireless data/cell phone system called i-mode/DoCoMo, whats great about it is its able to function on low data transmission rates of convetional wireless cell phones. These PDA/cell phones use cHTML (compact HTML) which is a low bandwidth subset of regular HTML. There starting to introduce this system in germany I believe.

RE: Music/Musician That You Can’t Stand?!?!

I used to really like metal in the 80s and in the 90s I loved grunge which is a more organic version of metal. But the only thing close to metal or hard rock nowadays is limp bizkut. Are these guys pitiful or what? I mean doesnt the name evoke some kind of penile inferiority complex? Luckily Im in mexico and can listen to spanish rock of which theres plenty of good stuff.
