I thought that was a Pheasant of some sort and maybe you could have used it as a keyword for a search or narrowed down the bird searches. (Like I said not the best clue!)

This could have possibly flown over parts of Canada. Powered by a Cirrus 90hp engine.

Here is a tourer. The bird on the side is a clue (not an obvious one at that).

Looks almost like something from the Brochet line but the tail does not quite match.

Whatever it is, there is little to nothing on the net about it!
