No, those were rumours, as there were rumours with the Typhoon too, nothing official.

Actually, when Crown Prince Abdallah visited Paris sometime in April or May, there had been discussions about an order for 49 airframes and 40 more options. Several MoUs were signed during the visit, one of which garanteed continued negotiations toward finalizing the purchase by the RSAF. However, I haven’t heard anything new of late so I cant say for sure when this could be confirmed. I have on the other hand not heard anything that would point to these negotiations being canceled. Cheers!

It is hard to understand how people would have the testicular fortitude to do something like and feel good about this. To do it on a regular grave is unacceptable, but to do it to the graves of people who have died so they could enjoy the freedoms they enjoy today, that’s simply…I can’t find the word to describe how I feel. I hope the people responsible for this act will be brought to justice!

The question I would like to ask is whether or not there was ever a doubt Bell would win this contract. After all, they designed the original Scout and as much as this might be a new machine, in the end, its just another variant of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.

I thought U-571 was a decent naval flick even if it was historically innacurate. Another one which dwelves into the mystic world of submarines was K19: The Widow Maker. It was scary to know what happened in the early years of the Russian submarine nuclear program and the adversities the crews faced.

Recently finished Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy. It was an interesting twist on the assassination attempt on John Paul II. I would recommend it to anyone!

I just have one quick question! As much as the navalized variant of the J-10 seems to be an idea on paper, would there be any chances it could one day become a reality? Wouldn’t be easier to modify the existing the aircraft into a carrier capable machine although this would be a difficult modification.
Nonetheless, this twin-engined J-10 looks great. It would quite the fearsome opponent on the high seas.

Not only will it strike fear into its opponents, but it will look good doing it!

As much as this is a regretable accident, this man gave the intervening police officers reason to believe he had something to hide. The simple fact that they had to chase him down into the subway system was reason enough for them to suspect he might be a terrorist. Considering the recent events in England, one can’t be too cautious! I doubt very much anyone in Great Britain would want a repeat of July seventh/05. I strongly believe the officers responded properly but that is simply my opinion. None of us could ever know what these men felt at that precise moment they were struggling with this man. Fear was definitely present at this particular moment and it might well have been the fear that someone might have wired explosives on his person.
I spoke to a friend of mine who is a police officer and although he did say he wasn’t sure this man should have died, he did say he might have reacted in the same manner as these brave men did.
I have one more thing to say. It is easy to criticize someone for their actions, mostly if that person commits a mistake. Always try to put yourself in their shoes at the particular moment the so-called mistake was made and see if you would have come to the same actions. Like I said above, considering the circumstances, I believe I would have done exactly what these officers have done. Remember as well, that if this man would have been a suicide bomber and he had succeeded in detonating his explosives, many of you might have called the police officers responding incapable of filling out their functions!
