Try strategic thinktanks like globalsecurity.org or fas.org. These two sites generally have great information about the armed forces of different countries. Not sure if they have anything on the UK as I’ve never really looked into it but it’s worth a shot. Cheers!

Fantastic collection of shots. You’re getting better with each one. Too bad the weather was uncooperative!

Great shots. Too bad the PIA A310 will not ba allowed to fly into Europe anymore. Probably the last time you’re going to see one of these for awhile.

This is a great collection of shots. I especially liked the Air Transat and Cyprus shots. That GIV-V looks great as well. Cheers!

What ever happened to the Eurofighter deal that was suspended prior to the summer Olympics of 2004? Is it still being considered or will has it been officially cancelled?
In the end, I don’t think the Super Hornet would fit the Greek Air Force as it stands today. I think they have a better chance with the Eurofighter, maybe a smaller deal than what had originally been contracted for. But two other jets that should be considered are the Gripen and the Rafale.

CousinMadness, you will find that London sees a lot of jets flying on similar tracks daily. Spend a few minutes looking up at the sky and you might be able to count up to ten or eleven different jets going westbound and a similar number tracking east. With both Toronto and Detroit being close to London, you will see a lot of flights transiting over the city. I would imagine many of them are heading for the western provinces while the ones heading for the States would be heading for Chicago, Denver and other western American cities. Cheers and welcome to London!

I would imagine they’ll re-hire some of the thousands laid off after 9-11.

What are the odds that these workers would still be available to return to work for Boeing. It’s been six years since they were laid-off, my guess id that many have found positions with other aerospace companies or simply in a different industrial sector.

I was able to indulge in a few movies today and they included:

Airplane: Perhaps one of the greatest spoofs of all-time. The ensemble cast was great together and Leslie Nielsen was bang-on as the doctor. I love watching this movie, it reminds me of the good old days when a comedy flowed with grace.

Airplane The Sequel: Although not as good as the first installment, this is still a good comedy that supplements the original well. For once, the writers and the director tried to stay true to the concept without bringing in new ideas that could have wrecked all their hard work.

Aliens: That’s all I have to say. I think we all agree on the quality displayed by this movie!!

One of the best matches I have ever seen was World Cup 06, France vs Spain and how Zinedine Zidane single handeldly dismantled a team which had promised to send him and the French team packing. It was probably one of the best games he had ever played. It was then I knew France had a decent shot at maybe winning the tournament. We all know how his career ended. But in my heart, he will always be one of the greatest all-time, if not the greatest.
