When that coach is gone I also want to see new faces in the French squad because the WC drought must be broken sooner or later.

I agree TT, however, I wonder who they will pick as the next coach (Arsene Wenger?) and also, will these new faces be ready for the big one?

It has to be said, though, that France were slightly unlucky – e.g. Thierry Henry had a great chance at the end (which he usually would put away for Arsenal) & they also had a headed goal not given when it was obviously over the line.

Germany through in 1st position in group A today. No surprise. Let’s hope England win or draw tonight to avoid playing them in next round:).

I agree that France was a little unlucky, but I do have to say I believe the officiating has been less than on the ball. However, it could be worse and the French team can still make it as long as they come out to play on Friday. Working that day will one of the hardest things I will have to do. 😀

Actually, I think it looks simple and elegant and yet to the point. It tells me what country this aircraft represents. Sometimes, certain liveries are too much and could be much simpler!

Great shots! The Eagle banking right is a great shot but the one that takes the cup is the Mi-24. Fantastic shot!

Excellent shot Papa Lima. I’ve always loved the Draken and Viggen. Beautiful machines which please the eye no matter from which angle you look at the aicraft.

Don’t see too many NOTARS these days. Come to think of it, I don’t think I have ever seen one at any airshows I have ever attended.

Would it be possible they might be refurbished and used as war trophies in various museums across the US? Or might they find their way to Nellis Air Force Base they might be inducted into the small museum located outside Red Air’s HQ?

    Fred.

And what about France 😀 . I thought it was a fantastic result for South Korea and a total disaster for the French – totally dominating for so long and then concede in the last 10 mins :p .

As I was watching the match, I thought that finally, the French had shown up to play and win. Then, slowly, the Koreans found a way to grind down France’s defence, which had done a great job thus far, to score the equalizer. I was utterly devastated by this. This Domenech character is perhaps the worst coach for the French team. The fact that Zidane completely ignored him as he walked off the pitch when he was replaced speaks of how much disorder there must be in the locker room. It will be a wonder if France somehow makes it to the next round.

The Qatar A330 looks splendid but the one, IMO, which takes top honours is the Etihad A332! Brillaint shot these are!
