Well, I just headed down to the multiplex and watched the Shooter with Mark Whalberg. This is one of the best action/adventure flicks I have seen in a long time. So good that eventhough I had to make a trip to the little boys room, I held off until the end because I was afraid I would miss something important. The entire cast did a fantastic job and Whalberg was dynamite in the title role. I would gladly recommend to anyone and as soon as this bad boy is released on DVD, it will find it’s way onto my shelf. Cheers!

I know that it wasn’t the best but can you state just why your time was wasted watching this film:cool: .
The photography was actually decent, not sure where they filmed the movie but it looked incredible. That alone wasn’t enough to carry the movie. Jeremy Irons was about the only good thing in this movie and he was in it only too shortly. Not enough background info was given as to why the betrayals they speak of happened. For a movie which may have a two sequels from what I understand. It was too vague and the actor they chose to play the lead character Eragon may have been the wrong choice, but that might just be me who just disliked the way he portrayed the character.
In the mean time, just watched The Departed. Great movie! I had been waiting a long time to see it and I wasn’t disappointed. Leonardo gave the performance of a lifetime as did the rest of the cast, especially Jack Nicholson who reminded me why he is such a great actor. Just an all around brilliant movie.

I had the chance to take a ride on the TGV from CDG to Avignon and from Avignon to Paris Gare de Lyon twice last year and I have to say that I was impressed by the ride quality and the comfort. NOthing compares to it in my opinion, but I am being a little biased as I am French.

And it all starts here in good old Canada in a couple of weeks! 🙂

That sounds like one mother of a snow-fall Irwan:eek:
Actually no. It was merely a dustup but with the winds, it created some unsavory conditions. Not the type of weather which made you wanna go out to the golf course.
Eragon (2006).
A swords and sorcery adventure that really should have been better. It looks, visually and sceenery-wise,that it could have been set around the same time-line as Lord Of The Rings.
Great SFX,especially the Dragon, and beautiful cinematography.End of term report-could do better.
Seeing as this tale runs over three books it’s not surprising that a second installment is in the pipeline.Let’s hope they don’t screw-the pootch.
I am about to watch this one. I will let you know what I thought.
In the mean time, Went on to watch Goldeneye, The World is not Enough and Tomorrow Never dies. Flet like watching the most recent James Bonds. Casino Royale will be thrown for a quick spin later this week once I come off the work cycle.

So with the sudden snowfall we’ve experienced in the last couple of days, I started a legnthy movie marathon which included, in no particular order:
1. National Treasure. 6. Reservoir Dogs. 11. Signs.
2. Out of Time. 7. Ronin. 12. Star Trek Nemesis.
3. Phonebooth. 8. Sahara. 13. SWAT.
4. Pirates of the Carribean 2. 9. Serendipity. 14. Tears of the Sun.
5. Poseidon 2006. 10. Showtime. 15. The Boondock Saints.
Out of all of these, the ones I really enjoyed watching were Reservoir Dogs and The Boondock Saints.
Next on tap, The Break Up and Shaun of the Dead.
