1.John Travolta’s monologue at the start of Sworfish! So cool and suave!
2.The car chase in Ronin through the streets of Paris and earlier in the movie, through old Nice!
3.Jason Statham’s fight scene in The Transporter when he is pissed after they destroyed his BMW! The music had a lot to do with me liking this scene!
4.As others have mentioned, the opening twenty-eight minutes of Saving Private Ryan.
    5.Goldeneye, pick one, it’s all good! 🙂
6.Mrt and Mrs Smith, the fight scene between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt when they try to kill each other in their own home!
7.The split second a$$ whooping Jason Bourne inflicts on the embassy staff in The Bourne Identity! 😀
8.The blood bath in the original Blade! What a way to introduce a character who means business!
9.Will Smith and Martin Lawrence going to town on the poor kid who has come to pick up Martin Lawrence’s daughter! Never laughed so hard in my life!
    And finally….
10.The Super Hornet trying to avoid a SAM in Behind Enemy Lines!

Thruthfully, there are so many of them, yet these would be the ones I can recall when I think of scenes which have glued themselves to my grey matter! Cheers! 😀

    The A346 shot is incredible!
MSN004 having moved to the flight line, when could we expect a first flight at this stage?

Well, this is the best that can be had!

Relative sizes of a diver, a modern great white, and Megalodon.

And their teeth. The great white’s tooth is about 2ins long. I have a Meg tooth about 2ins long, and it’s from a juvenile!!

    DAMN! 😮

Carcharodon megalodon – with teeth as big as your hand.

I’d love to see this bad boy! 😮

French special forces have recaptured a cargo/passenger vessel that was hijacked to the Corsican port of Bastia by striking union workers.
Commandos abseiled to the deck of the Pascal Paoli from five helicopters as it came into port after being taken over in Marseille late on Tuesday.

Interesting. There’s even a video of the assault.Question is,do the French have a naval Special Forces. What’s it called?

Anyone got any decent photo’s of this?

It was in fact the GIGN who dealt with this situation as this was considered to be a hijacking. The Interior Ministry didn’t feel they needed to activate any of the French military’s special ops team. As a matter of fact, the GIGN is quite an impressive team which is rated as one of the best in the world. It has helped train new recruits for the FBI’s HRT unit and will occasionally train with Delta Force squads (These units have been known to trade operational secrets although this is unconfirmed). GIGN is widely respected by the international SpecOps community.
The French Navy does have a special force, although it could be considered more of an equivalent to the USMC. There are several units such as the Commando Jaubert, Commando Hubert and a few more beyond the two I have just mentionned. The French Navy does have a unit manned by scuba divers which could be considered as an equivalent to the US Navy Seals.
    I hope this helps!

The An-32 looks to be in pristine condition.
On the other hand, the two pictures of the Mirage 2000 and the F-16 are incredible! Was this a mock dogfight prepared for the airshow?

My grandfather, involved with the war effort in North Africa, Italy and southern Europe when his unit was inducted by Patton’s armored corp. I wish I knew more about what he did but it was hard to get any info out of him. May he rest in peace, he passed away five years ago!
My uncle, on the other hand was a Lieutenant in the French Army who was separated from his unit and had to begin operating with the resistance untilo they got him to England and his unit! He landed with the allies in Normandy. He too was very relunctant to talk about anything.

    My Uncle Frank (Goodwin)

Missing, Guillemont, Somme. 30th July 1916. No known grave, but commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

Apologies to all of you who’ve seen the picture before but I’m still on my one man crusade that he’ll never be forgotten as long as I’m still breathing.

    Moggy

He should never be forgotten for paying the ultimate sacrifice! May your uncle rest in peace!

Well Stella is indeed overrated. The beer is OK though, for I pay 1 euro a beer here in my university town. But to pay 8 dollars in some fancy bar in New York is your own responsability. But like any other beer you get used to the taste and for me it’s fine, though you don’t hear me yelling Belgian beer is the best. It’s OK, but after a while it tastes like p°ss too. I’m not very fond of the “beer snobs”. Beer itself is not meant to be discussed, it’s meant to make discussing more attractive 😀

Actually, I should have mentioned that it was eight dollars Canadian which turns out to be about five American. Still, that’s still quite a bit of dough for a simple pint! 😀
