There are quite a few references for 2 panthers being on board Spanish vessel Dedalo. Attached a couple of relevant documents. I have not found any photographic evidence (yet).

AA.

The problem is they are mostly horrid little contact prints and many require hours of cleaning but there’s some interesting stuff among them. I’ll see what I can do.

Also love to see in case new parnall photos

Hi

Regarding post no 6, 2nd photo Norman-Thompson NT.2, wing in bottom of picture looks like the Parnall Panther, Also have another photo from my collection as below
I also had a reference (but can’t find at present) that Scottish Museum of Flight had a Parnall Panther that they scrapped off in mid 1940’s, but did keep some parts.

I do have some rigging details copied from a manual that briefly came into my possession with details of many types of aircraft. Hope these are of interest.

Hi
I have been searching for anything Parnall related since I worked there in the 60’s and we started researching company for K Wixey’s book. Have since found this reference Applied Aerodynamics 1920 by Leonard Bairstow at the Open Library https://openlibrary.org/ Hope this helps.
Regards

I was at Parnalls of yate in the 80’s when K Wixey was researching his Putnam book. We unearthed tubes of drawings, containing a large amount of the Type 382 (parnalls last flying design) and many different schemes for the type 382 gunnery trainer (see Air Enthusiast sept-1994). There were some odd drawings from Hendy aircraft (amalgamated with Parnall) and an interesting drawing of a copper sheath for the leading edge of a propellor. All these drawings I cataloged, and printed some interesting G.A.’s which i still hold. Where the drawings and list are now i do not know. Would love to see any copies of anything Parnall
