    Thanks for the replys from TwinOtter23 and Peter.

    Not great weather had been 1991 since my last visit ,i did wonder if access was available to the vulcan and shackleton but was informed due to lack of staff on that day and also health and safety rules this wasn’t possible , cost me 50p back then.
    Didn’t realise the shackleton was being re-painted i just thought it was the vulcan.
    And i did like the daimler benz engine , would make a nice coffee table in my flat and a talking point!
    Anyway a nice two or three hours and my mate was impressed by the size of the vulcan……….i had warned him.

    Great , heard it fly over , then heard it and saw it fly past my high rise flat……….didn’t have time to grab my camera……….looked out the window and …………..thats a Dakota , over nottingham?
