Can anyone explain the current vogue for addressing everyone from toddler to aged pensioner, whether male or female, as “guys”? Ghastly!

I suspect it’s another sop to the feminist brigade; references to actresses and comediennes have disappeared from the Radio Times, so that everyone, regardless of real gender, is an actor or comedian.

While it is not an activity I would partake of myself why is it illegal?.

Because, should the unthinkable happen, and a child result, there’s every likelihood of mental impairment, and all that entails.
I suspect that his addition to the sex offenders’ register was due to the feeling that, if he can’t exercise restraint with his own sister, he’s hardly likely to be able to manage with any other female, of any age.

“Let me say this….” (beloved of politicians); just bloody say it, so that we can get on with the argument.

And nothing continues, any more; it’s always “ongoing.” When that ceases to be the case, is it “onstopped?”

    🙁

It would seem that I need to explain; prior to the “Fab Four,” there were artists who could actually sing, and hit the required note.
Slowly, but surely, this has been replaced by the apparent need to display as much bare flesh, and underwear, as possible, with the voice mattering not one jot (and that includes the girls.)
We now have “artists” who talk to a background of sounds like baby’s rattles, and we’re told this is music; not for nothing is “rap” described as the only word, in the English language, where the “C” is silent. Still, in a nation which has now been told that frisbees are called pizzas, and good to eat, I suppose it was inevitable.

I note this morning that the papers are suggesting an infiltration by the far right, with one prospective UKIP candidate making a Nazi salute.

Employing my usual cynicism, when anything political is involved, I note that his so-called “Nazi salute” is being delivered with his left hand, which is laughable; this has the nasty smell of a put-up job, and character assassination.
And, no, I don’t like Mr. Farage and his smug attitude, and wouldn’t vote for him under any circumstances, but I loathe manipulation, as well.

None, since pop music died when the Beatles arrived, and has never been resurrected.

According to a recent report, this pair had always intended to attack New York’s Times Square, with four bombs, but found that the car, which they’d hijacked, didn’t have enough fuel, and, when they stopped to fill up, the car’s owner (whom they’d kidnapped) escaped and informed the police. Knowing the jig was up, they changed their plans, and went for the Marathon instead.
“For evil to succeed, it only needs the good to do nothing” is as true, now, as it ever was. As long as “ordinary” Muslims condemn, tut-tut, but do nothing to eradicate these people, their religion will continue to be hijacked by those consumed by evil intent. The “ordinary” Germans, Japanese and Italians sleepwalked into WWII, and the same is happening now. Anyone who ignores it, or (worse) tries to justify it by introducing irrelevances like deaths in countries thousands of miles away, is playing directly into their hands; it’s to be hoped you wake up before your local bobby morphs into Abu Qatadah.
