What a sight for sore eyes. Congratulations to everyone involved, what an achievement! Long may she fly!
I’m a few days late but I can access the boards okay.
Hear hear!
How interesting! Does the DH museum have any info on the project? EDIT: I should have checked my Facebook feed!
Don’t recall that one, I was there ’65’ the jg3 was the one that was being worked on had a rolls continental engine if memory is correct (I wonder what happened with that one) , but if you get in touch with Terry Pankhurst at the D H museum he should be able to help as he was woodwork instructor at that time.
I’d not heard of this but I’m very curious to hear more! I’ll ask around on Facebook for info.

I think this makes four or five Tempest Mk.II projects underway to fly?
Is Dan Gryder the one who tried to run down law enforcement (?) officers with a DC-3?
I’ve been hearing conflicting reports as to the severity of his injuries since the day of the incident. I hope he is okay.
Fascinating stuff and, unlike Burma, there have been physical items dug up! Very exciting to hear!
Thank you for your post, I totally understand your reasoning and as others have said we Wyvern fans owe you a great debt.
I’m keen to hear more too, if possible.
