The Mosquito had an engine run today, the first with both running since 1952:
It would be very difficult to make those skid marks with retracted gear!
They do say bad things come in threes. Poor thing’s not had much luck over the years: fatal accident in 2004, landing gear locked up 2016, and now this.
But if you do that you’ll miss Nathan the host talking about the new Vampire “Eff Point Three” kit!
I’m happy to share them, it was a delight to see the photos myself.
It’s certainly come a long way from the caravan!!
A few photos of G-WLRS at Duxford – including one on the grass – have popped up on Flickr and Facebook in recent weeks.

I’m afraid I have nothing to offer than enthusiasm. What a special project!
Has there been any confirmation it was the Spitfire and Wapiti aboard?
That’s what I understand too.
I think I must’ve been – that MH603 hadn’t flown came as a big surprise!
I’m hoping B.IV DZ542 is restored in whatever configuration she was during the trials (I’ve no clue how she was connected). When a new owner’s found.
For some reason I thought this had flown years back!
Avspecs was reported to be working on B.IV DZ542 for the Mosquito Pathfinder Trust, given they now seem to be going after NZ2308 instead then that means at least one “extra” airframe with ID available.
She looks rather nice!
From a personal point of view does it make sense to split the Avro’s ? Rather than separate anything with an Avro link why not keep them all together instead of one here and another somewhere else ?
My first thought was space. The second was cost.
