Just ask them what they’ll do for a brain once King Kong wants his ar*se back ?

Works for me every time ! 😀

Reminds me of a certain sledging incident with Oz v England when (may have been Warne  ) said to Phil Tuffnell “Hey Tuffers, can I borrow yer brain, I’m building an idiot!!” 😀

Its great. Unfortunately our wonderful Messiah Blair and his 12 thickciples can’t even afford to supply basic kit to our lads out in the middle east. And before you have a go, I have had to send kit/cash out my lad because he is not being issued with basic stuff. They are quite happy however to supply sky sports and fully equipped Gyms to our brave prisoners who have selflessly given their freedom in the cause of robbing people for drug money and raping children. 😡

A Beverley into flight condition…. purely for the selfish reason that I remember sitting with my grand-dad watching one of them on a very warm summers day with ice cream dripping into my lap!!! I still miss him like mad (25 years ago now) and it would make the hairs on my neck stand up and remind how proud I am to have had a Grand-Dad like him!! He introduced me to airplanes and Potato peel, orange peel and tea wine at all around the same time!!! Makes me understand why I prefer the grape to the hop!! miss yer still GD

WV838, its really satisfying to be a grumpy old man sometimes!!! I love it! I am slowly turning into my Dad. I even commented yesterday how the nights are drawing out and I ned to put some teak oil onto the patio furniture!!! Thanks for the Python script BTW! one of my favourites!! 😀

 What I don’t understand is that all the other kids in our little cul-de-sac (who go to schools on the main roads (primary and secondary)) have had their schools closed, but my lad who goes to one 1/4 of a mile way down a side road is open and my daughter caught her morning coach to Thomas Telford school 15 miles away in Shropshire as normal. Theres only about an inch of snow here, I can still see grass poking out over the top!!! How come we don’t close Hospitals and Police Stations when it snows? Surely its no harder for the cops and nurses/doctors to get to their place of employment as it is for parents to drop their kids off and the teachers too? Listening to the local radio this morning, they announced which schools were closed and only some were closed to both pupils and teachers. If the teachers can get there then why not the kids?? Strange how its impossible for parents to get the kids to the school but not too hard to drive into the country to the top of a hill to take them sledging?
Just a thought, are all scandinavian schools closed in the winter or do they only close when it stops snowing?? :p
Again, more BS! The Sun is nothing more than a tabloid rag, and didn’t mean this as a service to the public. Besides, the public doesn’t need service in this particular case. Only the parties involve need to be satisfied.
The parties that need to be satisfied are the the people that are being denied the truth. That means the people of this country that are sending their kids out there. YES MY LAD IS OUT THERE NOW!!! 24 RGT ROYAL ARTILLERY

I partially agree with your view that it was not the pilots fault. Its easy for us folk to think that its easy to recognise things at 200mph. Try it when your object is 1/2 a mile below, and blending with the constant dust off the desert. Its not VFR into Halfpenny green?!!!?

I just hate the ignorant arrogance of (especially) the US Govt. They conveniently ignore various world accepted protocols and agreemments (ever heard of Kyoto??)

BUT and its a big but……

Friendly fire has been going on since WW1. Yes the US may be world champs at it ( like they are world champs at american football and basketball even tho they are the only country participating!!!!????!!!!) but I think we’ll find that our own troops fired on our own (UK) but only came out under the 50 yr rule. Remember the Somme?

Quote:The point is this tragic event occured 4 frickin’ years ago. Hell, there wasn’t this much outrage 4 years after 9/11 when 3000 Americans died.:/

Yes it was dreadful and I watched as CNN showed “debris” falling from the building that was not really debris. BUT it was not just Americans that died in that attack. You’re statement that it was tends to point towards the delusion that it was only US citizens that died worries me.

My thoughts are with the family of the soldier and with the the pilot who was bullied by his partner into carrying out the attack. If i remember rightly, didn’t the “proper” troops and airmen demand a totaal overhaul of both visual and radio after the 1st Gulf War and were fobbed off by both the UK and US Govts saying it was not needed?

There is an election on May 3rd here in the UK. Think where you put your X.
