I found this forum whilst searching for information on 608 Squadron, but will be a regular (ish) contributor I reckon.
Anyway, does anyone know of a way to find out about a particular member of the squadron. There’s a book by Barry Blunt that is impossible to find, so I’m hoping someone on here can help.
I’m trying to find the stories behind the military burials in my local cemetery for my website.
There’s a Sergeant Edward Stephen of 608 who died on the 8th of June 1945. As far as I can find, 608’s last operational mission in WWII was on the 2nd and 3rd of May 1945.
He could have died of wounds received of course, but any information gratefully received.

I’m no expert on the technical aspects of photography, but that Air France one is a belter. Lovely pictures all round.

You’re not wrong! I didn’t take one picture in there!!
There was a couple of interesting things to stray off topic, but a mirror mounted on canvas displayed as a painting “mirror on canvas” with people actually stood in front of it pondering. Unbelievable. The National Gallery was much more enjoyable. And the low flying jets coming into Heathrow over Kew even more so…

I’ve been to the car park. I went yesterday, so hopefully will post a few better pictures on here later this week. It was much busier (and much warmer) and was teeming with spotters and families enjoying the day.
I’ve just got a Canon 450D, but haven’t really mastered it yet (evidently!). I’ve only used ‘auto’ up to now.
I’ll be getting a zoom lens soon and will keep on experimenting.

Thanks a lot Andy, it’s much appreciated.
I know of those words, and what they do in theory, but in practice, well that’s another matter entirely!
I bought the 450D specific title of the …For Dummies series, and intend to get a more general (cheaper) one shortly.
I’ll post my results as soon as I’m up and running, and once again thanks for your input.
