That would be much appreciated!
We’re going late june till early july!
No probs, send me a PM outlining your dates and where you’re booked to stay. And out of interest, which airline you flying/how much you pay? Once I know where you’re staying etc I’ll do my best to send a detailed reply over the weekend.
Excellent work mate, especially the AI! You’re off to ACE?! When? I can chuck loadsa info your way, my last trip was my 12th time on the island.
Of all the accusations against Ryanair, I think this is probably the most pathetic. I think it also shows that Ryanair cabin crew do like to take safety more seriously than programmes such as ‘Dispatches’ seemed to suggest.
What gives this man the right to interrupt a safety demo? Maybe he considered himself a frequent flyer and therefore didn’t think he had to pay it his full attention. However, how could he be so sure that no-one sat near to him was a first-time, or a nervous flyer? If there happened to be a first time flyer sat near to him unable to listen properly, then it could have lead to quite serious consequences in terms of safety for that person if anything had happened.
Oh and of course he’s gonna use the word ‘rudely’, he’s trying to save himself from embarassment when his friends/colleagues etc read this article.
Dan, i’m on a 12 hour shift next Tuesday and will be dispatching the 154/155 that your on, but won’t be able to do anything else because i’m in work until 20:00!
No worries mate. How about on the Weds? Me and Mark are on the 1335 back to DUB, could always catch each other for a coffee in the airport if you get a break at all.
Is this changeover likely to run over longer than expected, or have they already scheduled enough time for things to go wrong? I need to check-in online for several flights close to this period, which with the current closure expectency will just about be possible. However, if they over run by more than 6 or 7 hours it could make things awkward on one particular trip…
Nice work mate, and you caught EI-DWW. Only a few days old I believe….I’m not sure how Ryanair utilise their fleet but it seems that the new arrivals always seem to be used on the UK routes for a little while. I always see threads on here from LBA, BRS, MAN etc and the brand new ones always seem to crop up.
What day of the week are you flying? 1140 departure means you’ll be heading through security between 1000 and 1030, by this time it is usually very quiet and will only take a few mins to go through. Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings are a little busier…
It’s a very sweet looking plane, I saw them depart on their first leg from Stansted a week or so ago. Longest take off run I’ve ever seen from a 757! I met Steve Harris in the pub a few days earlier, I am friends with his daughter and they live just a couple of miles away.

I was just thinking about this, and I find some people’s angry responses quite amusing..
Let’s say you’re searching for a flight, and you decide to check Ryanair. You find the flights, you then decide whether to check-in a bag or not, you then accept or decline the insurance, and then you get to the final price. Now if you don’t like the price, surely you can just close the webpage and try another airline?! People make it sound like once you’ve gone through the first stage of the booking process, you are then forced to pay the extra fee’s as if there’s no turning back.
And another point…think realisitcally about how much baggage you actually need, and whether you can avoid all the fee’s just by taking cabin baggage. In December I flew to Lanzarote on TCX, and I know they have a very tight hold baggae limit of 15kg. Seeing as I was going for 10 days, I really had to think about what to pack. Upon check-in, it turns out my case was actually 14kg! Surely that then means that a 10kg cabin bag should be sufficient for 5-7 days away?
Excellent shots mate, love the one of TTOC which I flew on to Lanzarote a week later!
A lovely few shots mate! I love the slightly backlit style of shot like that Ryanair, looks great on the engines.
Good year for you mate! For me, I suppose it would be getting my first job in the aviation industry as a dispatcher at the start of the year which I’m still enjoying.
Have to catch up with you at some point Dan, your LAX-HNL flight has been downgraded to B752 incase you don’t already know. 🙁
We should try meet up before I b*gger off. I saw about the CO752 just before I booked it, hence why I am now on an ATA 753 instead!
2007 in Aviation For You
At the end of the year, someone usually posts a thread sharing their aviation achievements and successes from the last year, plus their aims for the following year. These can be anything from photographic achievements, or getting to fly on a new aircraft.
I have a few:

[*]My first magazine centrefold:

[*]My first air-to-air shoot:

[*]And my first magazine article published (6 pages of text + photos) on Aer Lingus, published about 2 weeks ago. I will one day post the .pdf for anyone to view if they’re intereseted, but I am not allowed for the first 3 months.
[*]I also managed 66 flights, with 6 new types (Iberia A340-300, Binter ATR-72, Swiss RJ100, Aer Lingus A330-200, Piper PA-28, Piper PA-34 Seneca)
I don’t really know what my aims are for 2008….I suppose I should be looking to bring back lots of photos from my round-the world trip. I start in March, travelling to the USA, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand (I’ll post a full itinerary a bit closer to the time). This trip includes a flight on the SIA A380, so I can’t wait for that 😀
So go on then, I’ve gone on long enough it’s time for other people to share theirs…
Thanks so much everyone, all of your kind comments are much appreciated! Shall hopefully have a few more shots next week.
