LBA, I do have more pics. But they’re not very interesting, unless you would like to see the whole fleet of Ryanair and Easyjet!

Stansted surprises me as an airport, because I was one of this ignorant people who believed that the only airlines that operated out of it were short haul charters, easyJet and Ryanair. I found out fairly recently that MalΓ©v Hungarian Airlines also fly from there and have just discovered that CSA Czech Airlines do, too!

Any idea why they do it? Heathrow isn’t that far away and Stansted does techincally qualify as being a London Airport.

Thanks very much for the comments LBA and T5. In answer to your question, CSA have been flying this route for quite a number of years. It seems quite popular, with 3 flights each way daily. Think there are only this number of flights flown from Heathrow! And remember that Luftahnsa had quite a big presence here, until they pulled out after Sept 11th.

Malev have been flying here since early this year, and have already doubled their frequencies. Air Berlin too is our 3rd biggest operator, flying about 30 flights a day to/from quite a number of airports in Germany and Europe.

Thanks you very much for the comments, the new camera is certainly paying off πŸ˜€ Even getting some of these on airliners.net, very pleased! Shame we got the winter coming though. That means the only photography will be left to weekends, and only if we get a clear day amongst the rain and cold πŸ™

Then there was something in each of these 3 (be it content, quality, or lighting) that really made my evening. πŸ˜€ Kept these ones a bit larger, trying to stop them being compressed too much.

FR 738 EI-DAN (love the light glistening on the fuselage, and it’s my name of course :D)

CSA 737 OK-DGL (kinda obvious why I like it…first time I had caught it too)

WestAir ATP SE-LPT (fairly rare, but I also love the way the sun is sparkling in it, and props always seem to look good in photos)

Lovely group of photos there, great wing views. Good one of the cockpit aswell……I’d say that it’ll be accepted after getting many similar ones onto jetphotos.net.

Nice set of shots there, great to see the Turtles too! I got to release some on ‘Turtle Island’, just off the coast of Borneo. Great experience πŸ˜€

Nice selection of pics there, definately an improvement πŸ™‚ What camera do you have, and what spec is it? I spent a year trying to get some nice photos out of my cheap old diggie cam, and it finally started to pay off if you work hard enough. Although it took me 9 months to get 156 photos accepted to jetphotos.net. With my new camera I have had 49 accepted in a month, and even some to airliners.net. If you want to take it more seriously, just keep practicing hard and then you’ll find it much easier to get nice photos on a better camera, in years to come.

I’m sorry Martin that I can’t answer your question, although as others has said it does sound like a great deal. Best wait for the real guys to answer the properly!

I was however interested by what you have been offered. Is this ‘modular’ course offered by OAT? Or is it just being offered to you due to certain circumstances?

Because Β£40,000 sounds like quite a bargain compared to what you can pay, and I think this would be much more affordable than the full intergrated course if I was to be looking for somewhere or somehow to gain my licenses and training.

I used to speak to him quite often on msn. One day he changed his name to ‘Take my advice-Don’t trust me’ and then disappeared, never to come online again.

I was struck with the same question when I snapped it in Lanzarote a few weeks back. As has been mentioned, belongs to Hola Airlines.

It’s a real shame that Ryanair sold off all the Buzz ones. They were a great sight at STN. Not many around now, but I love the way the spoilers open up prior to landing. Caught this one at LHR last week.

I flew on Australian Airlines back in May, on one of their 767’s. They were playing lots of house/dance music…..great to hear something lively when you’ve been standing in queues all day and can’t wait to be on holiday!

Amazing. How do you get such clear pictures??

With a DSLR (300 or 10D?) and a nice lense (Sigma maybe?). And of course, by being a good photographer!
