I dont like Stansted though, its the design, its like a giant greenhouse. I am not a fan of modern architecture or Ryanair for that matter.

Last time I was there I felt quite cool, didn’t appear hot to me?! And witout being biased because I live here, it’s one fo the nicest terminals I’ve travelled through (especially by UK standards!).

Great pictures! What airline operates the 737 with white over gray livery? With the gold line it looks like a Continental livery minus the globe on the tail.

What kind of camera did you get?

As Ren said, they are ex-Continental birds. They were bought by Buzz just before the Ryanair take over, and never got painted into the full Buzz livery (unlike BZZE and BZZF). They have been in this hybrid ever since…..here’s another one. This one has most of the CO scheme still….just lacking the globe and titles.

Ahah thank you very much everyone, been waiting for results like this for a long time! 😀 The question that nearly everyone’s asked, the camera. It is the newly released Minolta Z10, only around a month old. I was taking a fairly big gamble in buying it, because it was new there were no other shots on the net taken with it. However I was (am) very impressed with it’s technical spec, and it’s DSLR like features, so went for it!

Thanks everyone, great encouragement to get me out there taking more tomorrow! :p Hope you enjoyed those last close-ups. Some of them aren’t perfect angles, but give you a nice different perspective.

Showing off the zoom a bit-time for some close-ups!

The first shot is an LHR outbound Virgin A346, flying over around 10,000ft.

Note in the Aurigny pic, the passenger’s faces at the windows! 😀

    Anything fo interest:

Note in 3rd shot, the reflections in the belly of the Ryanair! Love them, can see the wing and engines etc.

We also have Air polonia here, Titan, Britannia, Excel etc

Not for much longer ha ha.

I don’t think that’s funny, especially when we have people on these very forums (Softlad) who will be feeling the effect of this in the form of redundancies.

Very nice livery Sandy, for some reason I think that the Arabic writing has a ‘smart’ looking sense about it too.

They are also suffering with their large amount of W-patterns in their schedule. If one flight is delayed, this straight away leads to the next one being delayed, and then they will gradually build up from there. If they are struck with a 10 minute delay in the morning, by the end of the W-pattern they could be looking at an hour long delay in the afternoon.

Got a few more here….one from the airport and one from the air. Aerial view is onboard Australian Airlines descending into Singapore.
