Fantastic pictures everyone! Brilliant, love them all! Particularly from our in-house pilots, we’re very lucky here. Please feel free to post more, the more the better! 😀
Kev, great report and pictures! I’ve just wathed G-BZZH flying into STN from my window now! I’ll try and get back with those reg’s as soon as possible, just looking through my registration logs. So what did you think to our lo-co central then Kev?!
Thanks a lot LBARULES! That was about it really for last night, I do have 2 more but I don’t think this is really the appropriate thread for posting them………I love sunset!
I think I may have to reconsider mine! Took this yesterday evening at Stansted, and I’m quite pleased with the result!

I will post some pics but I have lost the programme Ren told me about. It reduces the size of the pics…It’s called infra somthing.Anyone know what the hell I am on about????
The last one was difficult, but I’ve settled on this. I only took it this evening, but I was quite pleased with the result! Been waiting to get a pic of one of these with winglets for ages, and finally I get a good one! I do have some other favourite ones, none of which I can show on here unfortunately……but you may be able to see them next week if you’re lucky.
This is one of the clearest shots I’ve taken, especially when it was through terminal glass. At GLA in December (full size version can be seen on jetphotos, below)
Hmm, a tough one. I think I’d start with this, taken on the final day.
Well I now have some expert advice on what has happened here! My dad’s in from work and I got him to take a look at it, him being a tug driver ‘n all. The best explanation that he can give is that the tug has jack-knifed on push back. The shear pins didn’t snap, as they would be expected to, and so the bar bent round. As the bar bent the tug carried on moving round and crushed against the side of the bar, thus the reason for the borken wheel.
And the bar is that of an Airbus, can be used on a variety, but most likely to be A320 or A319.
I will do in under 2 weeks! I will have lots and lots! I’m borrowing a memory card that is gonna allow me to take 500 or so photos, and I’m planning on filling it up 😀 Keep a look out!
They’re also due to start serving STN this summer.
With regards to Manston, I’m quite pleased to see the airport getting a proper operator! It has great potential, and I think it’d do much better than trying to build a brand new airport in the South East.
Have the terminal and other essential facilities been built there yet? If so, are there any pics? I actually don’t know much about the airport at all, was it ex-RAF?
very nice, looks very high too! Whether those lights are operational or not, but it looks like 4 whites to me
I’ve had plenty a flying lesson at Stapleford airfield, but never flown a Piper. It’s great, as I’ve made lots of pilot connections aswell through spending time on the airfield. One pilot I’ve met, has taken me up several times in his own Grumman Lynx aircraft, quite aerobatic too! 😀
Yes a very nice model indeed, I have that one too! Also gotta Danair Comet, Alitalia 747-200, SAS DC-10, BA 737-200 and BOAC 747-100 amongst many others.
Pic taken by me from the Stnatsed control tower, ADB An-124 pushing back. What an experience that was to watch take-off! Sorry about the quality, bad weather!
