Well one of AW’s editors sent me a photo of a blank 747.. and with photoshop, some patience and a skill I appplied the easyJet titles.
Did the editor get in contact with you after seeing your work here on the forums? Or did he get your name somewhere else?
Stansted: Ryanair 737-800 by far, and probably Easyjet 737-300 in second place.

Of what? Yes I do know them as I noted them down as I flew over, the Saab was G-RUNG (as you can probably see) and the other Ryanair was EI-DAF.
Yay new livery! And it’s my name too, EI-DAN 😀 Remember the plane I also got to sit in the captain’s seat of?! 😉
An older Ryanair -800 on final in the gradually setting sun.
Thanks Pete, well here’s the first one! Nothing interesting to show unfortunately, STN didn’t have much to offer this afternoon. Wow I got the beacon flashing on this aircraft again, weird! 😀
Great pictures Pete, very nice! Particularly like the first Eva Air shot, and that DC-8 is looking very nice too! 😀 You know who it belongs to?
PS. Do you mind me posting 3 pics from STN today on here, it seems pointless me starting a new thread for them?
Is there any particular reason for that Martin? I think one of the only (main) sponsorships at the moment is CTC-McAlpine, training Easyjet and Thomas Cook pilots and they looked very good. I think another one recently was FlyBe, but since September 11th they’ve been a rarity.
Great pictures, I really wanna do that flight one day! I was really disappointed on my last flight to GLA, I was there for about 5 hours altogether on 2 separate days and stilll didn’t see a Twotter 🙁
Ahh the forum seemed to block out the name….I’m sure you can work out who it is anyway!
And you may get to work with Bruce ****inson! 😀 😀 😀 I still dont understand how on Earth he manages to fly as a pilot for them yet be in such a huge band like Iron Maiden. Maybe you will know wys, does he actually work for them full-time? I’ve never heard of part-time pilots before
Great pictures as usual WD! Fantastic, love those A318’s! I have yet to see one, may be lucky enough to see the Air France one next time I go to Heathrow. It’s clear to see as a pilot, the huge range of airports, airlines and situations you get in just a ‘normal’ working day. That must be one of the things that makes it so much different to other and better to all the other jobs out there!
An Electra by any chance? There’s still a few around, Atlantic Air being one of them.
TOGA is the Take-Off Go Around button in the cockpit. I think this is sorta part of the autopilot system, and the plane automatically sets the power and stuff needed for this part of the flight. Anyone confirm?

Wannabe Pilot, you shouldn’t be flying all over the world like that in May with your GCSE’s!! 😀
Don’t worry mate, I haven’t got them! 10 days older and yes I would be doing them, but I’m in the year before, one of the oldest in the year 😀
