Some of us can’t read and look at photos at the same time  . Still great photos. Might have to go to the row on Sunday for a few?
Yep although Sunday isn’t brilliant. Doesn’t get too interesting until the evening, and then it’s dark for the busiest period around 8pm. I’m afraid the spot where I was at, is only accessible by bike (if you’re a local like me). I suppose you could do it on foot, but it’s atleast 45 mins walk from anywhere nearby which is appropriate to park a car. These are taken down from the 05 holding point, very dodgy with security there too.

great photo’s am getting aircraft photography withdrawal symptons!!
Like the 125 (G-TCAP)…has the same colours as the king airs that do the filton shuttle flights so it must belong to BAe Systems.
Yes it does indeed belong to BAe.
Thanks Airline Owner!

Thanks EGNM, I have to very quickly rush out. Will reply to your PM shortly. 🙂
LCF24, yes STN does get some good traffic. It’s often overlooked as a Ryanair and Easyjet land, but as you can tell from the photos this isn’t the case. Although it does get a few too many 737’s, which can get tiring.
All your photo’s are very good but in my humble opinion the photo of the Emerald 748 is the best commercial photo I have EVER seen.
😮 Thanks! Didn’t see it myself, I was actually a bit worried at the time that I was gonna blur it with the low light levels. But what the hell, if you say so then thanks! 😀
Wow, didn’t think they’d recieve that much praise! Glad you all enjoyed them, makes we wanna go out and get more now. Shall hopefully be heading down to LHR or LGW on Sunday, if the weather makes up it’s mind and stays sunny.
Thanks very much for the comments, greatly encouraging! LBA, I do intend to keep uploading at this size. As you say, it brings out so much more detail. And it means I can’t cheat by hiding my mistakes in a re-sized photo  :p
And how could I forget this one

And the final lot, just as the sun set..

Nice report there Sandy. I had my first trial flight at Stapleford when I was 9 years old, on a Cessna 152. Had about another 5 or 6 after that. Since then it’s been free though, with the Air Cadets (and much more fun!). About 2 hours of (free) aerobatics and flying in the last 3 years – that was a total of 4 separate flights.
I was recenly accepted on a gliding scholarship, and should hopefully get to do this in the summer. That’ll take me to solo standard, cant wait 😀
Ok me and Mark L are booked for SNN. Our flight arrives on June 2nd at 1015, and we depart again at 2050 in the evening.
