And on with the ‘usual’ stuff.

Sky News reported it. They said it was the UKs first ever full service airport, what ever that meens. Its also the first airport to be opened in the UK since Stansted back in 1996.
Just as Mark said, that’s why you should avoid Sky News!
Stansted opening in 1996?! Ha ha, it was even taking passengers back in the 50’s and 60’s. Then the new terminal came in the early 90’s…

Some nice shots there Matt.
All you need to remember for night/dusk shots, is that if your camera is on auto mode, then it will set a slower shutter speed. This keeps the shutter open for longer, to allow more light to get in. When this is the case you’ll find you need to hold the camera dead-still for clear shots (preferably using a tripod, or leaning the camera on a wall etc). Holding it by hand will often move the camera and cause the shots to become blurry, or certainly not as sharp as they could be.

I’m just on my way out the door, but had a quick scan over this and didn’t think anyone else had mentioned it. On the fact about the pilots not having enough time to put up with a terrorist if they storm in the cockpit, don’t they still have cameras in the galleys? If this is the case, then surely this would give them an either longer time to prepare for what’s about to happen, before the terrorists even get to the cockpit door.

A couple of nice ones there, what camera are you using? I think with some proper editing they could be made much better.

Sorry I haven’t had time to read the article yet, and so wont give my justified opinion. But just rasing Airline Owner’s point again about him missing and it damaging the aircraft, remember the Aloha 732 where half the roof came off? If it was possible to get that plane on the ground with 1 fatality, then I’m quite sure that a bullet hole isn’t gonna do much.
Excellent pics, do you know who the EAL B732 was operating for? It was at EDI today too, late morning(ish).
It arrived in MAN from DUB, so I guess it was operating for Ryanair?
Nice pics Grey, lucky b*ggers on that TCX330 going somewhere hot.

Have to agree with you Matt. Don’t think it looks too good on the A320, and the lines at the back (just past the back door) don’t look quite right either.
