And just to add that if people can get a cheap flight and fancy a day out, then you’re welcome to join us. Proposed date is Thursday June 2nd.

1,000ft… it says in the original post

Ah God, when I was about to reply I thought ‘hmm I swear I just read what height it was” but when I gave it a quick scan again I somehow managed to miss it! 😮

That’s fantastic! How high above you were they, 2000ft?

Great photo report there Mark, good to see EI-CNT is still buzzing about after I flew her in December. And I think I have to say, that my logojet looked better than yours 😀 :p

Lovely shots there Andy, as I’ve already said to you. For some reason I really love the Austrian scheme, so I’d say that’s my fave.

Oh well I don’t know. I asked this guy from the RAF and he said no.

The RAF and commercial sectors have completely different requirements. If you took the time to read people’s posts properly then you might be able to pick up on things a bit better. As far as I know, it is not allowed for military pilots to have any eye sight problems.

And yes Ren, last lot taken on the 300D. Much light up there, so I was using ISO100 & 1/320 sec (with a 300mm zoom), giving around f8….I suspect a faster ISO, faster shutter speed and smaller aperture would all contribute to crisper pics…still learning.

When trying to attempt any shots from aircraft to aircraft, I look at a shutter speed of 1/1000 up. I’m hardly a professional, but there is maximum light up there so you can quite happily get away with a high speed. That’d make it much easier to stop the shots blurring.
