That doesn’t matter at all. I was worried about this when I was about 10 years old (having wanted to be a pilot since the age of 5). I started writing letters to airline asking about being a pilot etc (I have a folder of replies from the likes of BA, Virgin Atlantic, Air 2000, Heavylift, Channel Express, Airtours etc) and they have all said that eyesight problem were acceptable, aslong as they were ‘corrected’. ie. colour blindness, cannot be corrected, so that isn’t acceptable. However, if when wearing glasses you can see just as well as anyone else, then there is no problem.

My memory card that I took to Hawaii last week b*ggering up and not letting me get the photos off (over 150 photos, inculding HNL airport and Hickham AFB etc). Fingers crossed it’s not quite a disaster yet though. I have since sent the card off to a company who deal with data retrieval, and so hopefully they can do something with it.

Nice ones, what did you think to the Sharm then eh? I was there a couple of years back (flew Astraeus, 737-700). Lovely place, and the snorkelling there is just unbelievable.

What I don’t understand is why can’t the mods explain why they’ve took this action so we all understand why such action had to be taken?

You can’t be sure what things may go on behind the actual main forum that we all see. I’m not saying that anything has gone on, and I’m certainly not accusing Sandy or anyone else of anything happening . But the only ones that may know anything about it (if it does exist) are the mods, and I’m sure the mods will want to keep it to themselves.

As I say, I’m not making any speculations or accusing anyone of anything. Just that if things have happened, it doesn’t necessarily mean we would have all seen it for ourselves on the boards.
