Thanks very much for the comments guys, it’s greatly appreciated especially when I still got the whole lost memory card thing buzzing round my head. I’m gonna take it into Boots tomorrow and see if they can put the photo’s onto a CD. If their machines wont read it, I’ll have to try and get myself to the nearest Jessops. I don’t care how much I have to pay, I just want those pictures.
Yep it was very hot down there. It drizzled for about 5 minutes each hour, but when the sun came through it was scorching. Even with SPF30 sun lotion I was burnt quite badly on my arms.
Sorry to hear about the trip Dusseldwarf. Atleast you got that transatlantic venture to look forward to. I’ll be surprised if you don’t find AA as pleasent as we did. It was also promising to see near 100% loads on all 6 of our flights.
Well if we are doing sunsets!
The View from our room at the Waikoloa Beech Marriott in Hawaii, October last year.
I was drinking a Mai Tai at the time 🙂
I arrived home from Waikiki this morning. I have some very nice sunset photos I’d like to share, but my memory card has decided to pack up. I’ve gotta try and get it sorted tomorrow. Otherwise I’ll be pretty upset, seeing as it has 2 weeks (150 photos) of holiday snaps on it, including Pearl Harbour, Diamond Head etc.
That’s very unlike Arrecife. In my 7 times there, it’s always been a nice, clean airport. Never been able to complain about it.

This is undoubtedly Victorville (VCV), about a 45 minute drive (with no traffic) up I-15 from my house.
Ahah that’s what I suspected, after looking at my atlas and working out roughly what route we would have taken. I just thought it might have also been the Mojave, a bit further North. Thanks for clearing that up.

Nice ones again!
I thought AA got rid of their F100’s by now?
There were some buzzing around ORD yesterday….
Thanks for the comments so far everyone. I’ll try all I can to retrieve the rest from the other memory card.

Now this is where I need your help. I have photos of these 2 airports, and am trying to work out which they are.
Obviously this first one is more important, as it’s one of the aircraft ‘graveyards’ and so I was quite lucky to catch it. It was around 30-40 minutes after departure from LAX, a short while after passing the first batch of mountains. (1st photo).
Photos 2 and 3 are of the same airport, taken on finals for ORD. The runway directions are 11 and 29, so I guess that makes it easier.

A couple of movements around at ORD….and the DC-9 cockpit.

Now for the inbound shots…or what’s left of them. All the HNL photos, and 757 photos (HNL-LAX) are on the other memory card. It all went wrong when I got to LAX, at which point I switched over to the old memory card and salvaged some space. Seeing as I didn’t have a window on the 777 this morning, it means the only photos I have are on the LAX-ORD leg. Sorry to let you down..
1) A quick glimpse of the Astrojet aircraft as she taxies out.
2) A CO764 taxies past.
3) Starting our take off roll at LAX, racing a landing UA 757.
4) Take off over the beaches of LA
5) Over the rocky mountains
6) The Grand Canyon
7) Red rock…and snow capped mountains.
8) Seems like this small town has it’s own runway.
9) Short finals for ORD
10) Crossing another runway shortly after touch down, as an AA F100 takes off past slightly off centre.
