I flew into Fairford RIAT last year, and I have to be honest, for the hospitality that I recieved for the £250 it was well worth it. My aircraft
(XX554) was static displayed, I was given the full VIP treatment on the base, as soon as the chocks were put under my wheels on the ‘line’ I had a can of cold beer thrust into my hands, I was ferried by minibus anywhere on the base with the exception to restricted areas of course.

Having decided to rough it off of base at night on a campsite some four miles down the road, I was also ferried back and forth between that! I was even invited on the Sunday evening to the hangar dance/buffet.

I would say that it was £250 well spent and I am doing the very same this year. 😀
