Not that I would ever take it as Gospel (that’s what (most) Doctor’s are for); but I’ve used this site frequently in the past: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000893.htm

Do you think a mirror would work as well or would the cat recognise itself?

Or even start using the mirror to comb his hair before going out on a Saturday night?

You could try it. Though I don’t know if they would be as effective at night.

My Granddad once made a set of life-sized, wooden cats heads with marble eyes. That is to say, an outline of a cats head made out of thin ply-wood (or similar), painted in cats markings with two holes where they eyes were to put marbles in. He said the cats thought they were looking at an actual cat, with the reflection of the light on the marbles, and put off so cleared off. I think he saw the idea in a shop once and just made his own.

I’m guessing he meant that if Airbus couldn’t come up with a better, more fuel efficient design themselves (which we are guessing they didn’t seeing as they trialled their own a while back and are now re-trialling them with a partner) – that Aviation Partners – then they should join forces with those ‘in the know’?

I suppose in terms of looks and the partners they’d be working with, Airbus would have to bite their lips and go through with it just so they get some ever more important fuel saving out of them.

One comment on that Flightglobal link was that the winglets would hinder the differentiation from the 737. Please

There’s plenty of stuff like this about in the public domain – countless holocaust museums…reminders of a brutal past and pointers for a brighter future…

I was just about to say this. The only one I’ve visited is the one in Berlin, but it is as good an example as any. Massive effort (in terms of architecture, research and exhibition pieces) has been made to highlight the atrocity of times past. Considering the holocaust is probably one of the largest tragedies of times past, people have not held back from remembering those lost in an appropriate manner.

I think if done correctly, a similar thought provoking display/remembrance to Lockerbie would work well.

It would be good for someone to inject some cash and to fast-track the EDI expansion plan, but the planning permission will still all need to be approved won’t it? And sometimes this is the longest part…

Does it come with a Union? A regular oral examination plan? And as long as they don’t expect me to work any longer than 5 minutes at a time…….

Simpsons will always be regarded as a cult classic and has churned out some very memorable characters, moments and episodes. However I do think it has passed it’s prime.

My vote goes for Family Guy. I know people who were once avid fans and have gone off it, people who prefer American Dad and people who plain just don’t like it – so it’s not for everyone. However, I love it. I love all the stupid cut scenes, the random characters/moments (like the Octopus!) and especially how they don’t hold back being politically incorrect πŸ™‚ I also enjoy the recurring themes: Stewies supposed homosexuality, Brians love for Louis, The Chicken and Peter, Brians Novel πŸ˜‰

I think this thread would maybe be more suited as “Family Guy vs South Park” – both adult targeted shows. I keep up to date with both and still enjoy South Park, though I would sit down to an episode of Family Guy first.
