by driving cars at dangerous speeds in Europe
Eroupe, Asia and North America this year π They chartered an An-124 to carry the cars.
I do agree MH was brave trying to give it a go, but personally I think he spent too much time and effort on it when he should have realised earlier on that it wasn’t going to happen.
But all the best to him if he has found somewhere else he thinks he can make his living.
Anyway does anyone here honestly think that if Blairforce 1 goes head, he’ll use commercial airports? He’ll use mil, itary ones for ease of access
Not disputing this, but when Queenie flies into EDI she has her own little ‘hut’ which is situated in between the main taxiway and the cargo area. All it is is a little (permanent) porto-cabin with some luxuries inside it. There are a few people who are proud to say they’ve gone for a number 2 in the Queens toilet. Especially in one case when there were workmen in there and one of them didn’t flush and the Queen was the next person in there….. π
Yeah, I’ve seen some cracking shots of flexed wings on large aircraft and it did occur to me that this may be the case. It just struck me as weird that all pictures (well, artistβs impressions) of the 787 show this wing design. Which led me to believe they would be permanently like this. Still confused :p
It was supposed to be kind of tongue in cheek, but forgot smileys  Just thought I’d give my point of view. Sorry for getting on my high horse, of course everyone is more than entitled to their opinion.
Anyway, disagreement (hopefully) avoided….I don’t usually mind people reclining their seats, as as mentioned the functions there for a reason. I do also get annoyed at people taking a window seat when they don’t use it.
I don’t really like loud people on planes who shout to each other from row to row, or people who forget there are tens of people sitting around them that don’t want to listen to their conversation.
As for those airport security people who believe they’re some kind of superior being… Well… Don’t even go there…
I won’t take offense to that but……we do have to make sure the IATA and DfT regulations are being adhered to right down to the finest point as we are always being watched and tested.
Yes, we shouldn’t act all rightous and no, I’m not one of those who think I am better than the passengers. But, when trying to process 3,000 pax an hour people holding us up by not following simple rules tends to be a bit annoying π Further to that, we do need to act assertive so that pax will follow our instructions no matter our gender, shape, and size.
It’s just like any job really, when the customer isn’t doing what they should be unfortunately the employee sometimes takes it out on the next customer as a result.
Cabin Crew also work days ‘on call’ like eg Doctors, so that if there is a short fall for whatever reason there are crew ready to come into work asap
The BBJ3 is based on the 757. Not sure if the 739 would be a good candidate for a BBJ conversion, it does not quite have the range that would be expected from a biz jet that size
The BBJ3 is based on the 737-900ER. Think it’s still in development due to the fact that the 900 hasn’t been around for long itself. Couldn’t find anything on the Boeing site to back this up……but I’m pretty sure it’s the case
I’d imagine the range and size of the BBJ3 would be more desirable, but will see
What a shame if Blair and Bush are at the same place at the same time though….Blairs little corporate jet sitting beside Bush’s VC25A! You can just picture the scene as if two men are standing at urinals together, both ‘take a peak’ and the ‘larger’ of the two just looks up and smiles!
wonderful shots! i like your selection of 75’s π
superb set of shots, well done! i like the bmi 330
I always touch both sides of the door entrance of the aircraft when boarding
i actually always touch the right hand side with my right hand also. i noticed myself doing it years ago and am scared to stop doing it because I’ve done it ever since!
as shown here also: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=56769
but yeah, would be funny to see though i cant see how it could be approved
i think the RJ’s are tricky to get a c/s right on……the Star Alliance one is coming round to me. As for this one, I think it looks too plain in all white but it would look superb in silver.
I like how you got a good shot of the raked winglets here, I’ve never properly seen the significance of them before
No, I wouldn’t have thought so either. But he may have mistook the plane for an A320 π I dunno, I just saw the tail logo and thought it looked pretty similar to what was drawn
