This is teasing Keith. If I’m not mistaken that is the African Dash-8 in the background ?

    Cheers folks.

Well done! Are the A380s still restricted to 27L/09R?

That is a very good question. I don’t think so as once I was at 27R waiting for the Qantas A380 and it came in on 27L. Next time I was at 27L and it came in on 27R ! Grrrr…

Nice one Matt ! I didn’t get up early enough for this flight and got the one that arrived in Heathrow at 12:15 but it was cloudy then 🙁

It’s not really that great as the photos will be backlit most of the day. You’ll also be shooting through glass. It’ll be an ok spot to generally monitor the movements but not that great for photos. Better off getting a hotel nearby and getting to Myrtle Ave or Bedfont FC for landing shots in morning if they are using 27L.

Thanks. I only went for the Qatar but was delighted the Libyan was parked where it was – never seen it that side before and the light was surprisingly good for a dull day.

Excellent shot. I didn’t know they had a US reg’d version.

Nice stuff Rob. The Monarch A330 shot doesn’t look like it’s at Manchester. The Thomas Cook 757-300 shot is excellent – they are difficult to get right being so long.

    great, I love TFS !

Cheers. Palma is the best charter airport in the world though (in my opinion). Wonderful airport – a spotting mecca.

The Luxair and JT my faves this bunch….I’ve stuck with A.net for my old b&w because it is the main site but it can get a bit sporty getting them on! I guess the screeners have to keep the brakes on or there’d be 20 million photos on there(possibly of one aircraft :))

I only have a few on a.net (some very old ones) but ever since I slagged them off for rejected one shot (I was most upset) they haven’t accepted one shot ! It’s either over-sharp, under-sharp, over-exposed, under-exposed, under-contrast, over-contrast etc. So basically they are telling me I don’t know how to take photos. Jetphotos are a bit more forgiving but even they can be pretty picky. I probably get 50% accepted on there.

Crikey – 200 more Ryanair planes to ruin photography sessions 🙁

The only way they’d redeem themselves is to paint a special scheme on every three aircraft 🙂

Great stuff Matt. US 767 ? Crikey I didn’t even see one of those in Phoenix. That blooming retro Aer Lingus again ! I still haven’t seen it.
