Intruder killed and I would have to admit I can fully understand the actions of the residents so no sympathy from me.

Nor me. Great news. The scumbag has absolutely no right to be on his property. He got what he deserved. Ha – ring the Police ? Brilliant. They whizz round in their cars with lights flashing and radios blaring to warn the burgler off ! Then stroll in saying “if it happens again let us know”. Pathetic.

How about Bedfont Football Club car park ? It’s great when they are using 27L for arrivals at LHR. Ok it isn’t quite a beach but it’s gravelly and could pass for a beach if you lay a few beach towels down. It does get sunny sometimes as well. You can pop into the social club for a bacon butty or cup of tea. Most importantly just think of the stuff you could get coming into Heathrow. I’ll get my coat…..

(seriously this is usually the conundrum I have when booking a holiday with the lady…..”now where can I get some decent shots ? 🙂 )

Recent quote from my better half : “What a great 3 hours I’ve had in Barcelona stuck on level 2 of a multi-story car park”.

ps Croatia is nice. Fly to Venice and get the ferry over to Porec. Takes 3 hours. Beautiful part of the world.

Absolutely superb stuff. No problems with the law taking photos from that vantage point ?

I haven’t been recently but when I was there I found the police to be very aggressive towards the photographers. My worst experience at a civilian airport. On the other hand I found the LAX Public Relations people to be brilliant and I would suggest that you approach them.

Excellent info thanks. May give the burger joint a try then go to imperial hill where it’s supposed to be hassle free. LAX public relations will be getting an email ! Cheers.

Thanks but I’ve seen all these sites. I’ve done research. What I am asking is if anyone has been recently.

the old scheme was a classic and some of the fancy tail design stuff was ok but the plain “dirty” green scheme is horrible. Not really that keen on the All Nippon scheme to be honest even though I flew on one from Haneda to Itami and saw loads on Japan trip last year. ANA could do with a refresh. The TAAG scheme is great.

You would have to work very very hard to make a 773ER look bad.

The PIA scheme is truly awful.

    Would avoid ‘LBArules’ unhelpful scarcasm.

    It was funny though.

On a serious note why not try flightradar24 and click on the replay facility. You can backtrack to any time up to a week ago and see the flights that were flying at that time. My mate last week said he saw a plane coming into Manchester (over the A34) with a strange scheme (he isn’t an aviation enthusiast). He said it had a green tail with a red splodge. i asked him what time and I did the replay on flightradar and it showed the First Choice 767 over the A34 ! Brilliant stuff.

Hi mate, It’s pretty good. I went in June 2010. There is a free observation deck and you can get some decent shots. It’s quite busy as well. I’ll post a few pics in a mo. Just need to upload them to my photo site….

Edit…. sorry I assumed you meant for spotting. Hamburg is a modern airport.

They never flew to Heathrow. I think they might have operated a VC-10 into Gatwick at times. This was at Heathrow 1983 and I believe it was a leased in aircraft. Why it was at Heathrow I don’t know but it might have been some VIP visit maybe?

The Air Malawi was exceedingly rare. Defo wasn’t around for more than a few weeks. Great shot.
