I think I cropped the DHL a little bit to much for some sites to accept as teh angle on the aircraft just doesn’t fit the photo dimensions. shame as its rare to see a DHL in daylight!

Aye all these were with the 100-400 IS L. I also shoot with the 70-200 IS L F2.8, now thats one super sharp lens. I’d use that all the time but for these shots you need 300-400mm . Infact 400mm sometimes isn’t enough. Shooting through the fence means the “keepers” rate is very much reduced.

I might be up at MAN Sunday morn….

shots are from the end of 27L with a 30D and 100-400 IS L. Some of the landing shots were with a 350D + 70-200 IS L F2.8.

I’d not noticed the “blue bit” does look dodgy but it is sky! The 3 757’s all came in one after the other!

Cool! Crept over 10,000 and added a photographers choice award! woo!

“Your photo on Airliners.net with ID 1181966 is currently the Photographers
Choice of the last 7 days! This means it is visible on the frontpage of
    Airliners.net:
    http://www.airliners.net/

The Photographers Choice Award is given to the photo added within the last
7 days that have received the most votes by Airliners.net photographers. It
is updated every day (but the same photo can remain at the top for several
days in a row). If you aren’t reading this in time to view your photo on
the frontpage of Airliners.net, you will find it in the Photographers
    Choice Award archive located here:
    http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?choicehistory=yes

The competition is harsh on Airliners.net, the best aviation photographers
in the world upload their photos to us. Getting the Photographers Choice
Award is quite an honor as your photo has been manually selected by the
    other photographers on Airliners.net.

Again, our warmest congratulations and thank you for hosting your photos
