Has anyone ever seen this aircraft fly? Who ever happens to own this aircraft throughout the years always seem to generate a lot of noise but it never seems to show up at airshows?
Graham
didn’t the hunt brothers have a whole stash of these for sale a couple of years ago?

Before you spend any more cash on fighting this I would check that there isn’t a developer or some such who has sights on the land for something else, because this would explain the councillors attitude. They invariably have a hidden agenda which benefits them personally.

I think that landing was absolutely brilliant, think how different John Beatties emergency in the Sea Fury was with a hung up landing gear [ due to the sea fury not able to acheive this sort of landing without cartwheeling. ]

The weathers looking a little suspect for next weekend at the moment, lets keep our fingers crossed but a better forecast in the next few days.

Don’t forget that Ken is the chairman of the Norfolk and Suffolk aviation museum at Flixton and they are currently at the finishing stages of completing an autogyro museum extension at the museum showing Kens many achievements. Free entry too.

This from the National Historic Ships site…
http://www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/news.php/205/english-heritage-launches-industrial-heritage-at-risk-researchWhat factories, airport terminals, control towers do you consider to be at risk?
Depends where, in the Medway Towns in Kent its any building thats old that hasn’t got something to do with Charles Dickens. Rochester airport for instance is always threatened with the bulldozer. Other older buildings have already gone in the craze to cover the place in concrete and tin sheds.

I think the AAM building is clever in design but a bit too dark.
If they painted the interior ceiling white [ big job I know] it would probably transform it inside.

More interestingly what what was the spit 21 project?
Graham
Yes, Norfolk and Suffolk air museum at Flixton have two which are servicable and a third under restoration. they provide quite good entertainment for parties of school children!
I am told that the girls do rather better than the boys…
Graham
Any idea how much the sale price was?
Graham
No it won’t happen, its got too much of a British slant on the story line so not suitable for world wide general viewing.

Do you mean a new one or one that has been rolled around the yard, fitted to an aircraft and run to destruction:diablo:
You Still can’t read!

Hi Luke, I do have the profile of the laminar flow wing from a 1950’s document which has a graph showing the plotting points of the wing profile. I drew this up in CAD and it worked a treat. It has the profile at the root and at the tip. I am using this for a 1:32nd scale kit.
What I never found is an original drawing of the fuselage but I managed by taking measurements from photos from the side and matching known dimensions of a spitfire low back fuselage which are identical in certain key places as dimensionally they relate.
